Heroes of the Storm Balance Patch Notes - May 6, 2020

Good you did not spend 60 euro on the twitch thing to get him for free too. Either way he now just a weak version of himself now.

4 nerf to a hero that was already on paper balanced after his 3 nerf.

That is what you get for being a 20+ year old hag in a almost defunct game. Do not need to fix what ain’t broken, the damn mechanics for the character are older than this game. If its was Cassia the one designed by this folks instead of Orphea, you would not see all this “desing philosophy” being twisted to trash a character.

Yeah, pretty much. “we no longer want you to play this hero as she was” is what it feels like. Try not to flame anyone though, it doesn’t usually lead to getting our voices heard or things changed.

Might have been answered already but he doesn’t get the Q stun anymore. Just go to Try Mode, Works Great!

Great work, we finnaly got some much needed changes, but i was expecting something more when it comes to Li Ming.

The hero is broken, it has around 70% winrate on diamond/master this past month.

It is incredibly unbalanced compared to other heroes, she does a lot more damage, at a safer range then all the other casters, with a lot more fire rate and seems to never run out of mana.

Please Blizzard, for the love of god, if you make a hero that is most effective on maximum distance, while also having a blink used 90% of the time just as an escape mechanism, please make sure she cant just fire spells like a machine gun.

Nerf her mana, so even tho the fire rate is high, it still needs to be well executed, or reduce the range so she actually needs to show up in the fight instead of blasting everyone while behind the healer.

She was always a glass cannon though. And she’s always used a mix of aa’s and abilities. I’m not sure what’s so different now?

It’s just you. Unique heroes are still fine, it just becomes an issue when that Hero is too specialized and therefore unusable outside of that specific niche.

And only low level players would use E when enemy cc would cancel it anyway. It’s not like it’s a new thing to be wary of cc when using Fend.

Shes still pretty tanky, and she has blinds to deal with that.

She still feels the same, just more skill into her kit

I do not want to flame, but when you get burned all you touch sizzles lol.

Gj Devs, all the hardwork shows!

Just popped in to say the Tracer rework is delightful. Since I play her 90% of the time these days, I’ve been really worried her first rework was gonna be painful.

Developer Comment: Since her release, Cassia has been a great counter-pick against teams bringing multiple Basic Attackers. When she was being created, the Hero Designer was working closely with the Live Design team to find a good niche for her to fill. Since that time, however, our design philosophies have changed, and you have been seeing us pull-back from any individual Hero being too sharp in their designs. The War Matron is no exception and her rework tries to keep her original playstyle intact while also opening up options for players to bring her into more team compositions. Our other goals with the rework were to enhance her Lightning Javazon fantasy and introduce new talent-interactions for aficionados to really sink their teeth into. It would seem that with Cassia lightning does in fact strike twice and we are excited to see what you can do with her!

Haven’t played it yet but the rework to Cassia looks like a serious nerf to a character that was in a fine spot. You’ve nerfed every build in an attempt to streamline half the poke build into the char spec. It was a poor choice. No one builds into fend anymore because it just gets you killed, especially since you can’t use it to dive retreaters because of your idiotic anomaly. Especially for those of us who roasted idiots as charged strike mains. Going from EVERY shot hitting up to 5 heroes at 1.33 speed now we get a 5 way shot 1 out of 3 shots at 1.2 speed. Thus the ONLY build that can even be played in this meta is the poke build. Which you streamlined the quest elements INTO the base char design…so what growth is there now? Poke was already a late game build, the only one Cassia had I might add. Gotta clear way for the “temporary anomaly” to stay.

Every decision you folks make lately makes me LOATHE YOU and the game. I play it less and less after every “balance patch”.

Thanks for the dump on all my D2 mains. Xul and Cassia get crapped on but whats new when it comes to blizz and D2. You guys hate it because it was ACTUALLY successful and left you in the dust.

So nice to hear someone else having the same thoughts as me…

Went from playing 4 hours a day to 2 games a month in the last year.

All due to random balance changes, questionable sensless decisions, not needed reworks (aka nerfs), casual catering and “temporary” anomalies coming from the dev team.

With every patch I feel like they play the game less and less and make the changes and decisions based on throwing darts and some random ability/number generator.

Really sad to see my most favorite game butchered to this state.

TFW when I got 2 of DW’s Dark Nexus skins but I don’t even play the Hero

Whoever is in charge of balancing deathwing needs to be fired. The decisions with that character has been off for a while its getting old.

Oh my yes, Minky happy now! When I saw those buffs I hoped they would please you too Frogsaron. They have been pretty much what many of us have been asking for. With the increased slow on Poly it will make hitting Q far easier, which compensates a bit for the 15% movement increase of many months ago.

Shhhh…W build is just no good, needs buffs.

I have this feeling they were running an algorithm on Sami for a couple of years, machine learning and all that. I do hope Sami likes the Tracer rework though!

Interesting balance patch overall. I didn’t expect a patch with so many changes to drop, it’s welcome. I don’t agree with all the changes on paper, but I’m reserving my opinion until I try them out for myself in the Nexus.

Hoku, I feel sorry for all who will have to suffer under a buffed Artanis.

oh good, here comes the lastest batch of alt accounts to complain that these changes magically nerfed heroes they were super pro on despite the general lack of interest in, variety for, or community outcry on behalf of some of these changes.

~nO rEaSoN~ garbage is just the usual “we don’t even play this anymore, but how dare you guys make changes to stuff that;s under or over performing”
