In my experience heroes who exploit his lack of mobility are much better counters then all that fancy % damage.

Like i said many times when i played DW hard, Leoric, Greymane, Tychus, Malthael donāt really counter DW, and if they go ham on draft vs him, they will lose vs an experienced DW. Something like a Tracer and Imperius are much more dangerous to DW, though Tracer can easily be beaten in Destroyer form, Imperius is impossible with Burn the Impure.
Leoric and Malthael in a solo lane donāt win vs DW, they only equal you, mostly Malthael, while Leoric will actually lose, just make him use his % lasso at max range and break it and he is done for 8 seconds, then you can bully him hard. Do this this 3 times in a row, and you can kill him or force a retreat.
Keeping an Imperius away is honestly easier then against a Malth or a Leoric actually, and if youāre forced to lane him just go the W build and world breaker form and you can kite him to high heck and just win almost outright
I canāt see a scenario where Leo would use W at max range from the start. Thatās bad against everyone, not just DW.
Iāve never lost in lane as Leo vs DW. You clear faster than him.
