I myself am a week or two away of not playing the game from giving up on it entirely. Friends have given up on it long time ago but I stayed around because of the sunk cost reasoning. The game has too many problems which were never even addressed, matchmaking has become garbage since the latest exodus and most of all, a very small percentage of matches plays out without an incident of some kind. I wouldn’t even rate interactions with other players as positive and I always leave in a bad mood as everyone that still plays this garbage is constantly bitter and annoyed at each other.
Forums have also become a huge waste of time because there isn’t anything meaningful left to discuss and nothing to hope for. Even before the fiasco it boiled down to different clicks of certain smaller user groups mostly memeing among themselves but that’s not what I came for in the first place.
I have finally emotionally detached from it and would prefer to see the game die already because it is cruel leaving it in current state.

Fully agree with that. It’s a shame for a AAA company and they should turn it off instead of keeping the game online as a meme of failures.
OK, I’m done being civil. There is a surprising number of sour grapes that advocates shutting down the servers, even though this would make many people (including myself) really upset. They are entitled to their opinion, but I am also entitled to mine, which is: just **** off, and let people enjoy the game for as long as they wish.

It’s fair to see it like that. It’s also fair to wish that it gets turned off and Blizzard comes back once they have a MOBA which is not a total disaster and ultimately doesn’t get any updates.
HOTS was declared as “classic” game 5 years after it’s alpha release. It’s disgusting.
I concede that this addendum makes the overall position slightly less severe. A compromise would be to keep the servers up and running while they work on an overhauled version (i.e., “HotS 3.0”) or different MOBA entirely.

Then just let them. If you still enjoy the game then keep playing it. Thier opinion should not mean a thing as long you have fun. Then the toxic cavemen can mock the game as much they want. They are the one who cant quit the game themself while telling others to uninstall just becasue they think the game suck.

This is all of there games though, its not even as much about bringing in new players (yes that is still important) but the players they get, they treat like total dog crap. They will not listen to any of the communities wants, they will half a**everything they do. The bot report system and the trolling this game has become is just sad. No one is safe from it
I agree and in the end they lost. It would have been different if it wouldn’t have been a my-friends-and-me company, but it was one. They were arrogant and clueless at the same time. In the end success from 10-20 years ago doesn’t matter anymore, especially if you are owned by shareholders.

the “community” is more than just one opinion, and often conflicts with what on person declares than another.
There have been far more instances of this game “listeninf” to the community than not; if anything, they probably did it too much since acting to one “side” just gets the other one to cry they “nobodyl ist listening to them
At the end of the match, game, year, the same complaints keep repeating themselves and can’t tell the difference between posting something worth listrning to, and something not working ot despite effort put to it. However, since its mich easier for people to complain, they aren’t going to notice.

It is only fair to suggest you stay off the game and the forums and let those enjoy the game who still do.
Like those who only believe Trump is the only real president of USA and would invade goverment buildings on his command if he lose ? Too bad those kind of supporters are now in jail.

even grubby now is playing dota 2 lol
I just came out of a match where the hole team was toxic trolls and had a guldan who just afk and not helped the team. another person was toxic as soon as the match started, on top of the blizzards garbage team comp match making. I was having fun for a while when I decided to come back about a couple of months ago and now it just feels like the matches for the past couple of weeks feel like a crap show like it was when I quit a year ago. I don’t know what it is, but people just love to 3 vs 5 all the time even when you say group and wait for the the tank or healer, people don’t listen. Part of the issue is people keep defending the garbage pilosophy that’s QM which is also part of the reason why so many people left the game.
Yes, he is playing DotA 2 – while still streaming HotS, and taking the opportunity to teach DotA players about HotS. He has made it very clear that he loves HotS and will keep playing it, and that different MOBAs offer different things.
