Despite having support unchecked so I don’t have to play it, I keep getting brightwing and Whitemane. It has happened in two games during a few hour play session.
Yes, this has been going on for a while now. I believe this bug triggers only when they activate an XP bonus for random selection. When the bonus is not active I think it properly restricts auto select to your chosen selection (favorites, class types).
Guts, did you have favorites selected under your groups of heroes?

@artvandelay, it has to do with random favorites, not with exp boost being enabled or not. You can get heroes outside of favorites even without boost being enabled.
edit: based on reports, seems random is fully broken. Oops.
