you’re convinced matching is ‘rigged’ so you don’t know how the “ranked system” works.
My post isn’t particular to the “ranked system”: each mode has it’s own mmr, but mmr still functions in each mode so my post is not particular to your incorrect assumption.
In case you weren’t aware, since mmr applies to even non-ranked modes, the ‘bronze’ region of matching isn’t particular to ranked.
Ranked at least visualizes an approximation of mmr, so it tends to make for a better reference point for showing that someone can ‘climb’ or different meta at various skill levels, but the usual gripes of people leaving out pertinent context to their posts isn’t [our] fault, is those that assume people can magically read their minds and some-how still miss a point that they didn’t actually miss.
ie, you don’t need to point out you mean qm, but you do need to consider what others are actually writing.
spoiler alert: [we’re] not mindreaders here, but the same type of posters keep repeating the same complaints over and over again that “everyone” already knows that you think you know, and you use that as an excuse to not actually know. That’s part of why people try to debunk the same superstitious claims by using available examples where "…in my zone’’ anecdotes don’t provide details.
Part of why details are left out is because inexperienced players don’t know said details matter, so they don’t offer them which in turn demonstrates that they don’t know.
I mean i agree with everyone here, but my opinion is that people should have the right to play balanced matchmade games.
Its unfun to play with bad teammates, or bad opponents. You guys are focusing on the wrong part of his accusation. He isnt complaining about bad teammates all game, hes complaining that the matchmaking system is bad.
I honestly couldn’t be 100% certain but I have seen many players with a 65% or higher wr and that is one sign they’re a smurf. How does a silver player maintain a 65% win rate and stay silver? Short answer is they don’t.
I don’t consider a mid gold player playing in silver a smurf. Those types of players are not as impactful to make a match unfair.
I agree about the trolls though, they’re a plague, but I think that has little to do with the matchmaker since the mm doesn’t run a psychological assessment of the players it’s matching together. It’s the failure of the report system and the fact the game is free to play that’s the reason these players can still play the game and ruin it for others.
However if you’re going to say that trolls are a sort of a matchmaking problem then shouldn’t that also sort of be a form of the match being unfair? I say unfair because it’s really not fair to the other 4 on the team that one guy can’t seem to not throw a tantrum and ruin the game for them. I wouldn’t necessarily say “rigged” describes this situation but I would say unfair would fit.
Yea and that means I belong where I am in the middle where most average good players will be placed. Im not good with every hero but overall my skill is just were it should be.
Im not one those that think I belong higher just because I perform better with some heroes and worse with others.
Never said you were. Just saying, despite your claimed 60%+ winrate with some heroes – which I not contesting – you’re still sitting exactly at 50% winrate.
If you actually bother to look at your win-rates, then you’re honestly setting yourself up for failure.
Blizzard doesn’t care about this game, and neither should you. Some days you’ll eat the bar, and some days the bar will eat you. You’ll have great win streaks and terrible loss streaks like everyone else.
If you start to hyper-fixate on percentages on a completely stagnant game scene then you’ll just be miserable every time you boot this game up.
This 100%. I’m surprised how many people are hyperanalyzing all this ranked stuff in a game that isn’t supported or balanced. I only play ARAM and it feels like rock, paper and scissors most of the time due to all the random factors. Expecting to always win or not have bad games is so unrealistic on this game in general. People gotta understand they can have tons of bad games in a row pretty much but if you find the game fun you’ll queue up to try to balance that out.
Does ARAM actually balance teams based on hidden MMR? I’m happier thinking it is all random.
I’m not “convinced” it’s a fact and not a opinion, yet you try to speculate.
Mate I probably have more games than you so cut the “inexperienced players”, it has nothing to do with that.
I created 3 accounts total 4, yes there’s a real problem not a “possible issue”. Anyone can do the same and do some math, it’s not rocket science.
Instead of sharing your opinion go and play 200 games in 3 different accounts, check the numbers, that’s what metters here.
MMR is just a filtering system for averaging numbers, it has been debunked as being “rigged” but here you are spouting garbage and pretending it is ‘facts’.
A ‘fact’ has ‘proof’ and is irrefutably the case. You aren’t a knowledgable person, you don’t have the patience to get the knowledge you lack, and instead, you are convinced you are, and you use that to consistently draw incorrect conclusions because you don;'t know what is, or is not, a “Fact” and are instead responding on the basis of what you think agrees with you.
Account information can be checked:
Hotslots only has 4036 of my games, but that’s more than it has of all other instances of “garudo” in that database (1868 games) combined.
If you want to stop being wrong with your conjecture, you might want to learn a thing or two about how to learn instead of looping the same tired complaints over and over again.
I don’t disagree, and it’s to be expected that matchmaking is worse, as players leave the game, or play less frequently. Just the sad state of a great, but neglected game.
This game has ZERO ability to match you with people with your skill levels. My games are filled with idiots who cannot stick together or go after OBJECTIVES! FFS.
I had two stacks in a raw one day. A 4 stack and a 5 stack. I notiest that stacks in QM have become more common then before. About 15 of my 40 games this season with Alex have been vs stacks.
Thats almost 1/3 of my games.
Edit: Just played my first game today and game was surprice surprice vs a 5 stack while my team was 3 solos and a duo team. We won tho cause we had Vikings soaking the … out of them while we others did the rest.
Second edit: 2 games later and I faced a 4 stack. So yea I think stacks in QM have now become very normal now. Every 2-3 games now is vs a stack.
This is just anecdotal, but I find in QM if I queue up solo as a healer or tank, I’m more frequently matched vs 5 stacks, then when I queue as any other role.
Again, just my experience, but my guess is as both healer/tank are less popular roles, and many stacks will at the very least draft a healer, you’re more likely to matched vs stacks to fill the MM gap.
Make sense that you face more if you play either tank or healer cause most stacks has atleast one of them. But I think the chance to face them have become much higher then before. 5-6 years ago you would maybe face one once every 10-15 games. Now its every 2-3 game.
MM typically like to match 4 stacks up against full team of solos and 5 stacks up against 3 solos and a duo team for faster matches.
