DeathWing Skyfall?

That would come into play maybe in like 1-3 years, HoTs team takes forever to change things, they changed Alarak so hard a year after his release or a bit sooner, he was very different…

For them to add Skyfall as baseline so soon, yeah no… but it is an option. The other 2 talents needs higher impact or delay reduction, i tried so many times to make them work, but they just never hit, only 2-3 times did i actually get a good Firestorm going, one time right into ETC Mosh pit who moshed the ENTIRE enemy team taking top boss of Warhead Junkhead, and my landing along with Arrival of a God did SO MUCH damage, they ran so fast. On the other hand, i’ve literally landed on center a few dozen times with Firestorm and it hit nothing, maybe A meteor, because any slightest movement change by the enemy players, and it misses entirely. Maybe they should add a delay talent on like lvl 4, 13, 16.

I land on people with Death Drop fairly consistantly. You don’t dive people with it, you counter-engage or cut off escaping players. A lot of the time I combo it landing on the tank after they’ve been CC’d. You won’t land every one, but the ones you do land are so worth it.

Granted, I also very aggressively use Dragonflight. If I’m not actively fighting or clearing lanes, I’m in the sky. I use Dragonflight at every opportunity, so I get far more chance to use the effect than the average player might.

I dunno. I’ve taken Skyfall before and it just feels so lame. Especially now that it’s been nerfed, it just doesn’t do anything. You can no longer stall for long enough to buy your team time to recover a death, so all it does is be kind of annoying.

The stalling hasn’t changed whatsoever, that aspect is completely untouched. So if you’re not able to stall as much there is something else going on but the radius and the recharge rate of the meteors remain the same.

The changes were primarily to the health gain per hit and the landing cooldown per hit, neither of these are relevant to the stalling aspect. You’ll still generally have 4 charges up (the 4th should be up by the time you’re at the last charge if you fire around the 4 or 5 second mark per shot) and still have the same radius to cover most of the objective, entirely in the case of Cursed Hollows and Garden.

w8, Skyfall actually increases health regen in the air?
I always thought it just reduces the time to land again so you get to land with less health regen.
Man this sounds like bulllsshhiitte xD Who’s idea was this?

I do appreciate your view from a Master Ranked standpoint and all that, but I really just get to deal with QM players and in those games few people know to grab the points from multiple sides at the same time.
In those games the stall can be a big deal. It’s not in a high percentage of games but why even make this a possibility?
I feel like Skyfall could receive an extra clause saying “If target hero was channeling an OBJ, increase cd of next Skyfall by 10 seconds” xD
Or if Skyfall is so good. Why not make it increase the cd for DW’s landings?

Or adunno, maybe this is something quirky we as a community once again have to deal with.
Along with, Lunara’s DoT, Murky’s attempts to kill our understanding of value, Lili’s unkillableness, Valeera… ye the whole package, DVA’s Mecha, Butcher’s Brand, Varian’s Loud Mouth,… Chromie’s W used to be on this list too but now she behaves like any other mage.
Think that’s everyone. Tho DW can be on here for multiple reasons xD
He’s interesting fur sure.

I think, a goood fix can be,
Adjusting that “hit meteor to increase health generation” talent…

Once he is at full health but still in the sky, the hitting meteor bcomes disable (as health is full, no need regeneration) , tht wil keep the talent., but balance out a bit,
in this case, dw would need to land to interupt, which is acceptable

Its not that bad , all he’s got is 3 charges on a 10 second CD each. To put it simply , as long you do not hesitate in between channeling, he can only stop you so many times before being forced to drop down. Im not sure but i think the most he can hold if you dont waste time it 4. Past that hes got to come down if he want to stall further.

It is generally 4 charges, if you time it right which as I said is at least firing it off by the 4 second mark. But if you have good ping then it is possible to hold it in slightly past 5 seconds so you’ll end up with roughly 5 charges of the shot, but my caveat here is that you need good ping to hit that mark consistently. Although you can pull it off as well if the enemy delays on their channeling for whatever reason.

I mean, taking Skyfall means the Deathwing is already shooting himself in the foot. Not taking Death Drop is pure lunacy. Ignoring the Spell Armor reduction, being able to use the major parts of his kit 1 second after landing and not 3 is so huge. He’s so easily punished after he lands without Death Drop, so even if he is being annoying by stalling objectives, it should be child’s play by punishing him after he lands in a team fight.

it’s stalling power did not change.

so it is an option or not?

And it would be like how they’ve added a lot of baseline abilities, in a weakened form.

I’m imagining something like reduced damage (and heal), with said reduced damage damage is only in a small inner radius, and the default cooldown on landing forms to be increased to 10 seconds, from 8. Along with an increased cooldown on the meteor, OR, a flat no CD without talenting it, just 3 charges.

The worst 20k gold spend in this game ever

Oh yeah, you’re right. Totally misremembered that nerf. I was basing that off a game I just played where we took objectives on Cursed Hollow no problem through Skyfall. I guess it was just never actually as annoying as I thought.

Maybe it could be baseline so that you have something to do while you are in the air, it could happen.

@Clipper
eh mebi, I do see a DW deny objectives with Skyfall in my games but it hasn’t cost my team the game in a while. Not sure if anything changed, maybe players just learned to deal with it.
As aggravating as it is, I don’t want to nerf the Talent too far either. I’m fine with it for now.
