I’ve looted Deathwing twice, I’d put up a screenshot but they got cleared out when I HOTS got corrupted and I had to reinstall. I can’t remember the color being any different. I got it in the Toys Event, there were just so many chests during that half year long Christmas.

At the last Blizzcon they said they will never do a Core replacement hero, because it is “too non-interactive”. Now yes, they might change their minds, but I wouldn’t count on it any time soon.

Oh you don’t have to. Almost every game with deathwing looks like that and there’s always some explanation or justification you can come up with, doesn’t mean he doesn’t suck

Well, I know in the CCL grand finals last night, Tracer and Deathwing were the only 2 heroes that were banned in EVERY game of the finals.
So maybe in the right hands he IS good?

It’s not about right hands or wrong hands. It’s about playstyle.
From the tournaments you can see. He’s good if you play him as a backline poke mage. The moment you fly in or land in the enemy team you get insta-deleted.
Deathwing played as a backline poke mage is soo against his original design of a tanky raid boss and makes half his talents completely useless (level 7, level 16 and level 20 landing talents).
So yea sure you can make deathwing work I guess, just play him like a coward.
And deathwing’s windup times are so insane that when played as backline poke, he gets most value when he’s able to coordinate his abilities with his teammates cc abilities on voice comms, else he just doesn’t hit anything.
He needs more nerfs if anything. L2p issue.
