CPU is cooled via a water loop and barely goes over 50C.
In-game performance is in the 200+FPS uncapped but limited with v-sync to 144.
No overclocking has been applied. My in-game ms is in the 15ms.
I would assume there’s something wrong in code on how the performance is evaluated. Possibly on how Ryzen is reporting some parameters. Either way, it seems to be an engine issue.
Even in case of an underperforming CPU e.g. undervolted or similar, I would expect a resulting FPS of 200+ to be enough to hide that message.
If its function is to trigger the user’s attention on possible hardware issue, by evaluating more than just the fps output; I would still expect an option to disable it.
Same, Ryzen 3600X here.
Seems the game needs an update to properly recognize these CPU’s.
Although it has no impact on performance the icon is just annoying.
Agreed,i think there’s desperatly a patch needed for the game to fix this, since this problem only exists since the new Ryzen 3000 came out.I’ve never had any issues with my old R5 1600 in years before. But it seems like only Threads with thousands of views get Attention from Mods .Really a shame…
As oHyo pointed out in this thread, this would belong better on the Technical Support Forum.. There our specialists will be able to provide more information and help troubleshoot your problems!
@all on this thread: a Chipset update was just released to fix a full crash for Destiny 2, maybe it will solve this issue too since it alters the Ryzen Balanced Power setting.
I have the Destiny 2 bios update (3900x) and I still have the same cpu power/temp warning at top left of screen.
I think it has something to do with how the game only uses one, or a few im not sure, cores similar to SC2. Don’t quote me, it’s just something i picked up while googling this problem.
I am not sure that has anything to do with core utilization.
But given how unstable those bios updates have been I would 'fraid away of just installing anything till it’s marked stable by peer review.
Except of course if you are a diehard Destiny fan and need to get a stable game…
Issue still persists… seems like something QA could replicate and troubleshoot pretty easily. I understand this game is an incredibly low priority for Blizzard, but its probably worth looking into…
I can confirm this, just saw this CPU warning bug (I’m glad I’m not the only one and this is a known bug by now). I got a Ryzen 7 3700X, not overclocked, using the Ryzen Balanced Power settings, no overheating at all.
Same problem here. Bought a new PC Ryzen 3800X + 5700 XT, coming from i7-6700K + GTX1080. Had no problems with old PC, but now I get the warning CPU performance. I got stable 150fps playing at 2k monitor, but game stutters so hard when i move the cam, it seems that HotS it’s not using the CPU power correctly, so we are getting very bad performance. I don’t think it’s a graphics card problem, because GPU it’s not even working at 100% of power.
Had it already posted in the “Technical Support” forum, but think it also belongs here.
I have the problem here! Ryzen 3600 with MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC.
I had the problem once before in July 2019 and it also reported. About a month later it was fixed (can not say whether by AMD or Blizzard) and the message was gone. Since then I had no problems anymore.
Now I’ve recently installed chipset driver (1.11.22.0454) and MSI BIOS (AMD ComboPI 1.0.0.4 patch B SMU v46.54) the latest version and the message is back. Would be nice if a fix came out with the next patch. The message on the top left annoys extremely with time!
I think the chipset driver is not, I have tested again installed the old version and the message was still there. I just do not want to install the old BIOS version.
The Deathwing patch has some changes that should address this. After you get a chance to play on that patch if you are still seeing this issue, if you could create a new thread on this forum it will greatly help!
