Just depends how much the comp matters to you. I like wonky comps. I like playing the character I want. I don’t mind suffering the occasional stomp if it means I get those things.
So no, I won’t stopping playing QM because I like the game mode, I hope it doesn’t die, and I don’t get why other people have to stop QM because YOU specifically don’t like it.
TL is the new unranked, but better due to free draft. The bad part is that you shouldn’t be there to practice since your rank is on the line (unless you wanna be a prick on a smurf account).
People say this same thing all the times on the forums, but usually they substitute “QM” for “HOTS”.
Unfortunately you are not granted a good teamcomp in UR either because some ppl are more dumb than the QM algorithm, all you can do is hoping you can fill what’s needed.
Wow, I’m jealous of you. Like half of my UR comps are no where near proper. The other half is barely functional.

IDK, don’t you miss the quicker startup? Less pressure and stress from drafting/banning? And more relaxed gameplay?
Don’t get me wrong I bet you don’t miss the sometimes terrible matchmaking, not being able to see what map, and once in awhile having a teammate who doesn’t know what they’re doing (though I bet you get that in unranked too).
I actually would like to know experiencing the pros and cons for yourself, are you gonna stay unranked? Personally I’ve done it a couple times and for the reasons I stated earlier, the pros outweigh the cons in quickplay (poor matchmaking/troll teammate is rare enough for me, not sure for others)
Well, I play it, Because it is a clown fiesta. I don’t want balanced matches, I want 5v5 full asassin teams or at least teams without a healer/tank and crazy comps that you won’t see in draft modes. That’s also why I hope Blizzard takes a lot of time, until they implement the MM changes for QM.
Even in ranked play, you aren’t guaranteed of getting a sensible comp, unless you are the one willing to fill. I mean, we won, but yeah, let’s just go ham with the specialists!
Well yeah, you arent guaranteed a sensible comp, but it’s atleast only the exception.
In QM it’s literally a rule that youre going to get crappy comps, because it’s literally coded into the algorithm to regularly host absolute garbage. Why? Noone seems to deem game worthy of being fixed apparently.
Most of my QM comps are fairly reasonable. I only see the really weird stuff maybe once every 20 matches or so, but that is probably because I prefer to play warriors. Blaming the matchmaking for the fact that the vast majority of the player base just wants to pew pew pew is a bit misguided.

I don’t think that’s remotely misguided. There’s nothing correct about getting bent over by the matchmaker for a solid 20 minutes via an absolute garbage match.
It’s supposed to be loose and flexible, but it’s absolute garbage as it is and that’s the main-experience Blizzard shoves every single new player into - a gauntlet.
That doesn’t follow at all, and for me it is rarely. Hardcoded would mean that the system is designed specifically to punish people, which makes no sense. It is far more likely that in trying to match MMR, avoid mirrors, and deal with any groups that are queued, there will be times your team will get the short end of the stick. Yes, it sucks when you find yourself as solo front line Anub’arak facing Mal’Ganis, TB Varian, Xul, Kharazim, and Raynor, but you just roll with it, do your best, learn what you can, and carry on.
Blaming the system really is misguided. Most of the people I see complaining about it on a regular basis are those who simply can’t adjust their build and play style to changing circumstances.
Just to echo everyone else, just wait for the new QM update for better comps.
And yeah, unranked can be even worse, I had a whole team draft all specs and I ask why and they just say “Its only unranked lol, have some fun”.
Usually the go to saying in unranked, that or “Go to ranked if you want to play seriously.”.
