Blizzard give me forum permission

You make it sound as if he would get trust lvl 3 just like that if this forum had more mods. lol

Iirc I couldnā€™t even post the link with it being clickable on imgur before TL3.

Same for Blizzard links, but I could be wrong.

I know I got unable to write some posts because I accidentally quoted the forum avatar which was a link I was not allowed to have in the post.

Yes, the forum did not let me link to content hosted on/by the forum.

That is pretty strange for sure, before I had TL3 I could freely post any of the following sites.

Edit:

Did a quick test on the OW forums and Iā€™m TL2 there with no possibility to get TL3 due [redacted] and like I said before, Blizzard links are all White listed, its probably a new added rule you missed.

Hes got a chen portrait, they better do what he says before he goes skadoosh on thier A$$

I got Trust Level 3 without realising it lol.

Just do what you do in the forum.

I guess Iā€™m still not turtley enough for the turtle club. Maybe I havenā€™t been active for enough days.

You wonā€™t stop me Blizzard! I WILL REACH TLV TL3

Ohā€¦ :hushed:
You canā€™t ever be suspendedā€¦ well, there goes my L3.
Got suspension once, for posting truth and facts, although it was not politically correctā€¦

I just wish theyā€™d give me the metrics for what I still need to accomplish :expressionless:

Seems like too much work.

Yeah, I gave up about 3 months ago. I just donā€™t have the time and patience to read 200 posts a day every day. That kind of requirement is fine on the OW forums because you can skim through the megathreads, but the HotS forums just donā€™t have enough activity for that work well here unless you have plenty of time to kill.

You are blocked from TL3 for 24 hours after your suspension ends. If you still meet the requirements for TL3 after that, you automatically gain it back.

Again, activity is not an issue, 20k is not the requirement, it is the cap requirement for communities that are gigantically active.

If a Discourse Forum receives about 1000 posts and 100 topics in 100 days you only need to read 250 posts and 25 topics to pass that requirement, not 20k.

HotS activity barely reaches the cap and its about 15k at best, maybe even less with how lower the activity is going here ever since that thing happened 6 months.

Pretty sure thatā€™s a silence, not a suspension, suspensions permanently lock you to TL2 and cannot go higher.

Thatā€™s still 150 posts a day every day. I, and most people I know, have neither the time nor the patience for that, especially since there are no megathreads on this forum like on the OW forums.

Silences are in-game punishments that carry over to the forums. Suspensions are forum-only punishments.

And unless theyā€™ve changed things recently, you can still get TL3 back after a suspension. Iā€™m pretty sure you did it yourself.

I donā€™t think that number is real. I definitely havenā€™t read 150 posts a day. There isnā€™t even that many made most days. It just kind of happened for me while casually browsing the forums. I thought I was going to be a TL2 forever.

Yes, however with the mod notification mail I have received here they specify it as a ā€œSilenceā€.

Thereā€™s apparently two forum type bans.

Silence is the lesser penalty, you get a mod notification mail through the forums and (sometimes) an email sent to you, you can still like posts while ā€œLast Seenā€ keeps constantly updated as you are still presented in the forum browsing, but cannot comment on anything due the silence, this penalty upon expiration and passing an additional 24 hours will let the user return to his Trust Level 3 again.

Suspensions is the strongest and receive the following:

not my account btw, you go figure out who it is yourself.

Those who were suspended cannot go back to TL3 anymore, additionally this ban is the equivalent ban to a Community Ban, simply they penalize the account by removing all abilities to do any sort of interactions with anyone, on top of ā€œLast seenā€ in your profile never gets updated as you were just logged out from the site.

Yes, in-game bans are also a thing but I have unclear info about that, I only know about forum bans from both experience from me and others.

Hmm. See, Iā€™ve been sent emails saying my account was suspended (Iā€™ve never received one saying I was silenced), but my last seen list stays up to date and I can still upvote even while the suspension is active, I just canā€™t reply to or flag anything.

This is a same case with me, it seems they have never updated their mod email even after the forum migrations, so it can be slightly confusing for some.

In short if in the forum mod notification is specified as a silence, still logged in on the forums and can like stuff, you are silenced on the forums.

If you cannot log in => Suspension.
