Overwatch did it, you can too. I really hate having to completely stop playing sl for several hours just to dodge getting put with the same player.
I got with an extremely toxic player who also threw when he didn’t get a draft he liked. On top of that, he wasn’t very good at the game or drafting and when i said “[player], you’re playing like a maniac lol. please be a little more careful next game.” (he was literally trying to flank the enemy team as kael), his response was… something i cannot put on the forum. Players like this are just very negative to the overall experience of the game, and if there was an option to avoid them it would make the experience a lot better in general.

Good luck finding a game when half the playerbase is avoiding eachother.

Perma-avoid will likely never happen due to the reason Frogsaron mentioned… But a 1 game avoid that expires in 20 minutes (on teammates you reported last game - cannot avoid enemy players) should be pretty harmless.
Also less of a hassle than opening a whisper tab on the troll and waiting until they’re in a game or offline.
Maybe if you did not make enemies of people you would not need to avoid them? There is a 50:50 chance they are put as your enemy anyway…
I agree with OP. I have same issue, when I have to block someone for reasons, but then matchmaking puts me with that player, when we both made it clear, that we don’t want to play with each other.
You can’t believe how many players may be toxic because my picks, like Tassadar one. And not only because that.
This idea got posted many times over the last 1 1/2 years.

Go on reddit and make enough noise for it. Apparently the HotS team wants to be more responsive to fan requests and tries to actively experiment with fan suggestions… on reddit because of course they won’t really care much what’s said on this forum.
