I have played against KTZ twice since the change, and I absolutely hate it. He does have enough CC in his kit to make it harder to dodge, and if his tank is paying any sort of attention, he is easy to set up for. If you are on a point control map, like Braxis, it can be difficult to dodge the Fissures from across the map while also dealing with your lane opponent.
The fact that he can spam it on vehicles, like the DK, is just the icing on the cake.

remember the orphea Feast ult when it counted the protector as hero and they disabled it after? thatâs the same issue with KTZ ult and they need to disable it and thatâs it he canât melt them but they counting the DK and Protector as HEROES while they shouldnât. yet they disabled the feast ability to hit protector now KTZ ult is affecting it which they should disable it too
What Iâm trying to say there, that your âadviseâ is hard even for the bestest of the best. So maybe donât advise it to ppl, when even the pros canât reliable do that.
This isnât a private discussion between the two of us, nor has it any sound effects to be truly interrupting. But itâs still a negative accusation.
The thing is, that there are abilities which require the skill from the dodgerâs side and abilities which require the skill from the shooterâs side.
Like getting hit by Qhiraâs trait on the open field is your mistake, and not Qhira being op.
But on the other hand, once you got hit by KTâz combo, dodging is no longer a true option.
But aiming and dodging is always a âmindgameâ between the two ends and in the ends, the one who wins is the better player probably (unless teammates are helping, setting things up, be it the hit or the dodge).
All they had to do was get in it and move it. That looked easily avoidable.
The reset can work, but if the goal was to remove the burst damage from his combo they didnât nerf the damage of Shadow Fissure enough.
I think they would do well to nerf the damage of his other abilities but also reduce their cooldowns.
I donât know why people is complaining, Ktz combo takes a lot of time to setup and shadow fissure delay is quite long to allow you avoid it or allow any member of your team to help you.
The easiest way to reduce his burst is to change Barbed Chains.
The Plaguelands is PvE/melee talent.
Blighted Frost is the one that helps you perform the combo.
Barbed Chains is the one that contributes to his burst, a lot, and since you pick KTZ for burst, this talent dominates.
EDIT - I can let Ice Cold dmg buff slide, since its not that big and requires proper timing.

I really donât understand why devs did this. Shadow Fissure was already very strong and they buffed it!! Not only they massively buffed his combo, because armor from supports is useless against two or more Shadow Fissures. It melts vehicles. Additionally I really hate that he can now spam it outside his combo, you can say they gave him global poke⌠Enemy was hit by allyâs CC somewhere on the other side of the map. Just use Shadow Fissure. You will get reset and Shadow Fissure alone deals enough damage to force many non tank heroes to retreat⌠You could do it before, but Shadow Fissure could be on Cd when you needed to land your combo.
As someone who plays a lot of KelâThuzad I donât really know why they did this. It seems pretty obvious that they want Frostblast to see more play but just reducing its cooldown while giving Shadow Fissure a pretty huge buff wonât do it. The only times I picked Frostblast was for Quick Match shenanigans. Also I donât really play a lot of SL so I canât even imagine how strong this change is with a decent team comp.
I know you are a healer/support main so it must be sad to not have a good assassin in your team, I often save my teammates just by killing people or by scaring them away.
