Everything is context based, if you keep doing the same thing without adapting, the enemy team can easily counter you. For example everyone says focus the support, but sometimes the enemy support is positioned far back (even to the point where they can’t heal that well). But because people are stupid enough to dive that one healer, they take tons of burst damage to get to him and end up dying. And they keep repeating this because you “have to focus the support”
But if you saw that same support suddenly on the frontline then YES kill him. Everything “depends” on what’s happening, anyone who is a one trick pony who does the same thing each teamfight can get countered by anyone who is paying attention to your plan. We just won a match against one trick ponies. They were a few levels above us and got extremely cocky, they would always do a suicide dive, so I told my team “just wait till they do a suicide dive to our backline then punish them. Do NOT initiate”. So our team just sat there and stared at the enemy team and inevitably they did the dive, we all nuked the diver and then backed up, waited for the second idiot to die.
We managed to turn the match around thanks to this. All we had to do to win that match was to adapt. The enemy team would’ve won if they stopped doing the same thing.
