Just look at what the devs have done in the last few years and ask yourself were they thinking about making a good game or were they just making cheap features to milk the game for a quarter or two?

basic features that other games have. Not implemented
Every patch has new skins, new sprays, more junk for lootboxes to be filled with.
Fair ranked system where players are rewarded for investing time into the game?
No - Hots team was encouraging players to make smurfs so they can try their placements again or exploit to seed in to diamond/master. Smurfs need hero’s / lootboxes too. They finally fixed qm seeding/placements but only after the rank population went to sht and only after the entire ladder was broken.
They never had any intention of trying to make the game grow, only to monetize the small playerbase they had. It’s pretty obvious they wanted to have a high quarter or two and then try to move to another project. They were garbage devs
If you think the game has a good future then think about what happened in the past.

If they removed ALL things Carbot, I’d be much happier. Anytime I get an ugly Carbot item, I reroll my chest. The only reason I have anything Carbot is because I got something worth getting and it would be stupid to reroll.
Note: Carbot’s animations are funny. He has a good sense of humor. He deserves credit for his work. I understand that animations take a long time so the art is basic and at times very ugly. This is the case with Carbot. He can keep doing his thing, just keep that ugly crap out of HOTS diluting my boxes.

What has happened (or not happened, in some cases) is terrible, but I refuse to let HotS die.
having any hope for this game should be… hope that it doesn’t completely shutdown.
Probably won’t. Even sc1/wc3 is still going. I imagine the server cost difference is big though
i just play because i have fun and i dont think about what everyone else thinks about with whether it’s going to live or die because it’s pointless to think about that
either play or don’t. that’s the only thing that I think matters

I’m fairly certain many of them did care, how much autonomy they were given to implement positive changes is another question.
As for being hopeful about the future of this game, I want to be, as I love HOTS. There is a problem, if features such as an improved UI/Clan Features/LFG/Improved MM/Improved Ranked system/AFK loss forgiveness/Reduced placements for those with high MMR certainty, etc., were never introduced when HOTS had a larger dev team and more resources, what chance do we have of getting improvements now?

well whoever made decisions on design and priorities were garbage.
I’m sure some people who had no say aren’t at fault, but the people who did were failures they never should be put in charge again.

nope, today again lost 2 matches basicly on loading screen with team of imbeciles and unfair unbalanced comps this game become pure joke .Good for me im playing lesss and less and in near future i ditch this pathetic game for good.

Sounds like your team didn’t know how to draft…or you were playing QM which means you have no reason to be upset about the comps 
Granted having brain dead teammates seems to be a staple of this game which honestly isn’t your fault.
Gotta place the bronze with the Plats and masters or else they won’t learn how to play 
As a casual player, I think the game is fine as it is right now. I was never interested in the possible improvements to Ranked or social features and as long as they keep releasing new heroes and skins, I’m happy.
I don’t play other Mobas but Hots does have player profiles and stats. I’m don’t see the point for clans or spectate friends in this game. The group finder is the biggest concern for me. To many times people join and leave because they wanted to play another mode. A simple change that shows what mode the party leader intends in the group finder would be a huge quality of life change.
I do have hope. HGC is gone but I heard rumours about tournaments.
We still get new stuff.
Merged ranked and the new role system is on its way with loss forgivness if someone dc-s.
The balance of the game is really good.
Hots can still live on. There are still tournaments for the game that werent apart of the main official league. There are several games that have lived on as competitive games without support from the developers.
I doubt HoTS will ever come back.
- Activision doesn’t care about their player base. Due to firing all the pros around the world.
- Which none of them and their fan base want anything to do with the game.
- HoTS 15million $ budget went straight to the new CFO to “fix” their problems.
- But he won’t because he doesn’t care about Blizzard IP’s, he only invests in Call of Duty Black Out 69.
- Tychus still is the only character with a thong skin, why not D.Va or Alexstraza or Gazlowe?
- Overwatch is their only true “loot box” game that works.
- I have every skin, mount, character and all I get from loot boxes are sprays and emotes…
- The good players stopped playing bc no one cares anymore about good HoTS players. TrckSlyr doesn’t count.
- Matchmaking “Expands Searching” after 20 seconds of queue time, and lvl 20 people with a 900 MMR get matched with lvl 1200 people with 2700 MMR. R.I.P
- I spent $300, wasted 4 years of time and missed sex with my wife on the 2018 HGC Finals game, ALL FOR NOTHING!
She’s still salty about it, for those who care.
SO IF ANYTHING, thank you Activision for being so bad at what you do, bc I don’t waste time on your crappy IP’s anymore, which in return my marriage is a lot better now.
