An idea I had for a GoT rework

I do really want a rework of GoT. Old GoT had its flaws but it was decently balanced, had plenty of comeback potential, and was lots of fun.

I hate new GoT with every fiber of my being.

If we want to bring back the old seed gathering mechanic, I think they should only spawn on one half (top or bottom) of the map at once, like I mentioned here last July. This would force players towards the same side of the map to gather seeds, increasing the chances for encounters.
The Shamblers could also be stronger and more numerous, so it’s harder for solo heroes to speed-clear them with a single ability rotation. That would give the enemy team more time to show up to contest the seeds.

These changes should prevent players from running around avoiding each other during the objective, when they’re supposed to be fighting the most. Instead, they’d be strongly encouraged to fight over the seeds.

Bringing the vehicle Terror back in some form is definitely a must, IMO.

I think there are some additional changes that need to be made to the Terror, though, which I laid out in this thread:

While I agree there needs to be a delay between gathering the seeds and the Terror spawning, I think a 30 second delay on the Terror might be a bit too long. That would actually benefit the winning team more than the losing team and cause a snowball effect, because they could fast-cap some camps and have those pushing in every other lane by the time the enemy team is back to deal with the Terror.
There’s a sort of balance we have to strike here to both give the losing team enough time to begin to regroup and not give the winning team enough time to snowball with mercs too hard, and I think 15-20 seconds should work.
Alternatively, making neutral camps despawn at night, or at least once a Terror is acquired, would prevent those merc-rushes.

This is an interesting idea. Not sure how much I’d enjoy this or how balanced it’d be, but I’d be willing to give it a shot.
