Hi im 548 lv and my friend is 160 lv, we both played team ranked and we both won 7 and lost 3 games but the game placed me to silver 3 while he got placed to silver 5 but why? We have never played team ranked before.
Because you didn’t start at the same mmr.
Let’s imagine it like this:
You started with 1500 points, he with 1000. You both win the same amount giving a total of 400 points. You have 1900, he has 1400. Therefore, you two end up with different ranks.
This is because mmr for ranked (and for every other gamemode) have to start with an amount of points. If someone plays QM and starts ranked, their initial mmr in rnaked is seeded from QM. If they played ranked before they start the season where they finished last season.
