5 reasons why li li is the worst healer

So basicly Reghar or Uther Whitemane

She heals 20 health on lvl 1, this is the health of tanks on lvl 1, now tell me how much is 20 out of 2625? is this impactful enough? Especially when you look at transendence ,
Alex W , anduins W (140 health if nobody is hit)

She is a beginner hero. But was nerfed casue she was too good in low leagues. The main problem with LILI is her Q. You cant control it and because of that you need to position yourself near someone to make sure its him that gets healed and not someone els. Same goes for her heal ult. It went from healing everyone to only the most injuried. Again you have to position yourself accortenly to make sure it is the most injuried that gets healed first and not the one who stand right in your face.

Only good think about LILI is she can semi tank with her trait and her healing ult were changed to have lower cd that increase the longer the ult is active becasue she many times would get interrupted and lose value of it.

Oh for sure the mechanic of her Q is less than ideal, it’s what I remember the most out of the few times I’ve played as her.

I haven’t insulted you, and you are claiming as such because you don’t like that I don’t agree with you.

Much of your disagreement stems from not wanting to read my stuff, but the topic isn’t ‘yours’ and it is actually rather rude to ask as you have done. It is not a kind request, and the ignore feature exists for a reason; if you don’t want to use it, that’s on you, but otherwise, discussions are what people have regardless of your wants.

The more successful builds for dechard are building around his damage/cc, which aligns with what Dr Supergood stated; maybe it’s them ‘backpeddaling’ on their take, but it is not ‘diametrically opposed’ to their statement.

Others can attest that his healing is weaker, he’s prone to running out of mana (esp if building for offense) and the success of the hero can come regardless of the healing complications; more so if there are more than one deckard to combo their abilities together.

Some of these posts are arguing the wrong end of what stats ‘prove’.

Can you PLEASE stop arguing and insulting each other? That would be great to keep this place civil before you kill or block each other.
Activity of Forums is already low, no need to kill it down.

I think li li needs to be changed for the better.
She is really outdated

The only reason one would have to backpeddle is if one is shown to be wrong. In ARAM, Deckard’s healing is above average. Of course it won’t be as high as someone like Lucio, but to claim it is “meh”, which was the original comment, is simply not correct, regardless of your assertion that it is.

No, this is what I mean by diametrically opposite. First thing, one has to note that many of Deckard’s tiers are only damage/CC options, so there really isn’t an option to increase his healing output. For example, none of his level 7 talents or heroics do anything for his throughput.

However, at the tiers where he can improve his AoE healing or straight throughput, those are the most popular options. Ruby at 4 is the most popular, and Super Pots at 13 is overwhelmingly the most popular talent. Bottomless Flask is the most popular level 20, which has nothing at all to do with CC or damage. Suggesting he is played strictly as a “mage with some healing” is far from the reality.

And that is kind of the whole point of the argument regarding Li Li, just focusing on throughput is misleading when discussing whether or not a hero is “good”. Li Li isn’t good because her healing is bad, but because numbers isn’t what wins games.

Fixed the link for you. I like analyzing numbers, so here’s my take. Just a heads up, I’m more on Horsin on this one (I picked LiLi as one in heroes I don’t want to see on my team, for solo healer anyway). Though, I do think this thread is getting way too heated unnecessarily.

First, effectiveness, performance of heroes can’t be proved/showcased with one isolated game.

Second, stat on board is not really objective. There is some context to consider. For instance, your team dominated. This makes losing team hard(er) to perform, stat paddle/boost stat compare to your team who had more room. This can be less of an issue in Ranked, where, on average, both team tries to form a balance comp. But in QM, it can get really one sided. Like, everything the enemy Nova did (the poke stuff), will go straight to boost your healing number. Enemy even had Lunara, while having some burst, hero who was joked as fake damage before (long DoT damage, while good for stat paddle, might not always be effective damage). Enemy couldn’t land the kill, meaning her DoT damage will boost your healing number as well. On the other hand, enemy healer might not have time, opportunity to heal at all because your team had quite good engage and burst (looks like Qhira + Aba wrecked the enemy formation, chopping everything).

Third, one of the bigger factor in LiLi being effective in that match, your team had -2 bodies (only had 3 bodies that will take heal). That made LiLi’s heal focused easily, ensuring your teammate’s survivality (again, the more they stay alive, the more chance they will receive heal, which the enemy healer didn’t seemed to have the luxury).

Well if you want a discussion, don’t make your post have a click-bait title and state only negatives without considering the positives.
When you start out by asserting your stance is the only possible one and insulting people in the original post you’re inviting trouble to begin with.
Too often people think that if they can make the opposing side angry, any insults directed at them are somehow proof that they are correct, citing ad hominem fallacy or whatever. That’s not how reality works, a poor argument or lack of argument from the one side is not itself evidence or support for the other side. Especially when the argument has been had repeatedly…

But look, I know I’ve made angry threads like that before (I’m a very angry person sometimes), so how about something we can agree on. We each have heroes we wouldn’t mind seeing reworked. And I wouldn’t be upset if they changed Lili, even if there are several heroes I think are in more dire need.

OP doesn’t stand for "original poster’ but the original post. I don’t think people have bothered to realize that difference. That was detailed in the post, but people would have had to have read it before being offended by their assumptions regarding me.

I am far more particular about what I am addressing that people care to realize (ie, i address behavior, not people) because they’re too busy fueling negative associations about me fueled by their own ignorance. People that take big gripes with me do so because they don’t read things through, act like they know better, and then claim I am the liar in that regard. That’s often why I end up explaining – if anyone bothers to read – that it often comes out people are faulting me for the conduct they are doing, and then accusing me of having done it despite… not.

People associate specific words to be ‘insults’ but it is their action that has ‘taken offense’ where none was given. By choosing to look for something they claim to be an ‘insult’ then they fault me, and then use that as rationalization to fuel their ignorance.

While the topic is not about me, that is some of the same perspective that fuels the conversation around li li – and other heroes – that are not easily confined by tl;dr labels. So before someone goes off on me, or on other forum particulars, a key part of the post was not to ‘insult’ a specific poster, but to address concerns of perception.

The issue of a written format is it is contingent on people actually reading something through, and it gets odd that some of the ones more proud of not knowing stuff, not playing heroes, or not reading through posts are the ones that feel the most insulted in replies to their posts.

The point is not ‘me’, but that is the same cycle that fuels the perception of hero success or ‘best’/‘worst’ claims, esp for heroes that do not have the ‘same tools’ as the stereotypes of their role, such as lili for healing or tyrael for tanking.

That was what I was trying to convey with the parts on deckard; li li does not have as good a healing as demanded, but other heroes with a similar defect do well in particular areas, so the comparison of limited claims on hero value is a misunderstanding of hero value, performance and potential, esp since a hero is not a stand-alone contribution, but they are influenced by what else is in that match.

Some of the neglected talent choices offer better healing potential, damage mitigation, or other healer-supportive functions (eg lvl 1 field study does increase healing.) While Ruby is a healing talent, it is a damage improvement that does increase the potential behind his combo; that’s part of why it is taken on builds built around scroll of sealing. Similarly, the lvl 20 and super potions builds mitigates the demands on deckard’s mana to heal as he only needs to set down so many potions that will then refresh themselves.

It compliments the combo, offsets a key weakness of that build (mana management priority) and gets more damage out of it. That isn’t to say he’s a ‘mage with healing’ but it is a white-mane like dominance in his builds for boosting a specific rotation despite other talents offering variation that can provide more healing, so now he has more mana for more cube/scroll cdr…

However, the real secret is hero picks (talent stagnation) in aram are fueled more by quests and dings. Scroll of identity getting a capless quest is just asking for that to get picked the most

Huh? I have the opposite thinking and they’re as a whole very underpowered unless you play the best ones. Auriel and Alex are in the garbage can. Kharazim sucks. Rehgar got nerfed after the xul-rehgar meta.

The only healers I’d pick now are malf, stukov, lucio, uther, bw, and anduin. Whitemane is starting to get my attention tho

Ana is too hard considering the road to perfect play. Deckard got trashed after ruby was too op and nerfed.

I really don’t buy this as being a valid point for people building Deckard for damage and CC, given that it means passing up Ancient Blessings which increases damage and healing while still saving mana. In my opinion, this is stretching the argument past its breaking point.

Thank you. He seems not to respect my nice requested wish.
I dont know what to do :frowning: guy is doing his best to be hurtful. I dont feel comfortable around him

But lets go back to li lis topic

Its fine. We have 154 replies, I don’t think the clickbait title stifled discussion because Horsin wasn’t intending to troll. The title probably drew more people in to discuss Li Li than something less eye catching.
