The first two things are subjective. I personally wouldn’t say the Deathwing skin checks either of those boxes for example. It’s cool, but not too special.
And we have no idea what the dev’s plans are for skins. You say Greatfather Deckard is straightforward and we’ll get more skins like that. I say it’s been 2.5 years since the winter’s veil/Christmas theme was used for skins. We have no idea if they’ll even go back to winter’s veil. Especially considering the devs have done their own little twist on the seasonal holidays since 2018. That’s just one example of course.
Even if we did know what they’re considering, a skin concept can sit in limbo for a long time, like heroes. The process is not necessarily “Create the concept —> implement in the same year.” The only ones who truly know what’s what is the devs themselves.
With all that said,
This is your opinion on these skins. Not everyone wants silly skins or even skins which are particularly unique or special. The only thing the devs need is for enough people to rally around a concept. Just like Janitor Leoric or Deathwing. That’s the only true merit of any skin.
I supposed about Anduin with arthas armor… I can’t believe that one made it to the last round I could looking the best looking skin wins and not silly looking ones.
You use the words ‘subjective’ and ‘opinion’ all wrong.
What is my ‘opinion’? That Janitor Leoric was wonderfully silly? People asked for it for years because it was cool and serious?
The following are not opinions, they are facts.
We’ve already had a Death Knight skin for Sonya, not even a Warcraft character. Just about every hero with armor and many others could get one.
You can’t give a Space Jam skin to anyone, you give it to Azmo who throws giant balls of fire. You can’t give a Janitor skin to anyone, you give it to Leoric due to his animations, and because the mundanity of the skin wouldn’t be as fun on many a human character, as it’d be on a nightmarish skeleton.
Deckard, an old, kind, bearded man who throws boxes is likely to have crossed the devs’ minds for a Greatfather skin already, because it makes so much sense.
The opinion part is you saying Azmodunk and Leoric were incredible concepts. What I was saying is not everyone thinks that those skins are incredible. Not everyone likes as it much/at all. Some people are going to think those skins are quite mediocre or even bad. Just like any skin.
Sure, but as I said, that doesn’t mean they’re going to actually do it. We got Toys again last year.
That is exactly my point (sort of). The arguments you give are nothing more than arbitrary criteria; qualities you think the contestants must have.
Ugh the Thorns skinline, D.Stormpia Yrel, Steampunk/Underwater Meph didn’t make it. Also I’m not sure with that Gravekeeper Orphea skin concept, it’s not too bad but it’s lacking though I’m confident the devs (if they do use that concept) can make it better.
I could find about Lightforged D.Va & Demonic Yrel which sure for anything & also focus some of these concept skins likely Gravekeeper Orphea skin concept, it’s not too bad but can make it better.
That’s a great idea! However, I don’t think I will be able to hold the contest next year. I’m quite sad as I wanted this to be an annual thing. In my Results post I will also have a “Farewell” section to the Community (no, I’m not quitting or hating the game or anything, life just hit me hard so I will be inactive on Reddit and the Forums for a while™. I will go into details in that post.) Can’t wait to see you guys again!
Time for the last vote
