I’m enjoying AoO a lot more than I did RoS, to be honest. Talk about a bad expansion. It’s probably because this expansion actually has viable decks I enjoy playing, but still…

That’s because Ros was somehow EVEN WORSE. It’s natural to feel like the current is much better when really they’re both hot garbage. I hate this meta for the same reason I hated ROS. Ranked is a slot machine. Like actually just put 20 cards that can generate cards in your deck like rogue or priest or anyone who uses dragonqueen and zephyrs and you’re A-ok. Why deckbuild when the game can randomly generate 4 or 5 more decks for you? RoS is when they added lackeys to the game and I thought they would be cool if it wasn’t for ethereal lackey and later draconic lackey. Why on earth can some 1 mana 1/1 that can later be evolved or buff generate some uber powerful card?

wild is way more fun then standard but wild is so broken its out of control the fact that bliz has spent all this time nerfing cards that were pointless and they didn’t even nerf mech pally/secret a LITTLE bit is sad ….some of us are full time wild players and I am so sick of getiing zerged by turn 4 because I DIDNT HAVE THE ONE CARD in my hand that would stand a chance … they ruined the game when they put DH into the mix ……a 1 cost 2 damage hero power is dumb and when you mix it with all the low drop aids cards that benefit from their hero power it makes the game so not fun …… how long will it take before secret mage and mech pally see A SMALL NERF how long ???
Frankly, in the past you could learn the meta, learn the matchups, know how many removals, board clears, threats your opponent has in their deck, how much damage can their decks apply and play around all of these factors.
Now the game is: play a lackey that discovers a dragon that discovers another dragon that adds two random dragons to your hand.
Some decks have ridiculous amounts of random card generation that can’t be played around. Hearthstone has turned into even bigger casino-stone.

What are you playing?
Shaman? Paladin? Druid?
If you are, then I would consider switching classes until next expansion.

I think the problem some are running into is the new MMR match up. It seems to me that the new MMR system treats someone who plays 30 rank games a month for fun to get to the old rank 15 level and had an average 60% win rate; is now under the new MMR matched against legendary or near legendary players and has seen an astronomically low win rate that takes the fun out.
In theory, over time, the MMR will correct and give you a level of success that is fun for you again. But it appears you have to go thru a period of getting your butt kicked.

okay that is a super accurate statement ! HOWEVER why is it that the guy will no wins no real skill to the game NOT because he is bad but because he doesn’t play enough …….but I have to suffer because he wants to play secret mage and roll his face on the keyboard or mech pally or odd DH…
It may not always be fun, but the game still surprises me sometimes. A demon hunter in arena used a mana burn on his turn 1. I forget if I won or lost that game, but I was definitely motivated to stomp that demon hunter.
Maybe we need a small tournament mode. Part of the fun of battlegrounds is that there’s eight people playing, and it’s not that hard to beat at least one person. First place is still difficult.
The game was also ruined for me, but granted, for different reasons: the removal of Whizbang.
Without Whizbang, all I’m doing now is play daily quests in Ranked for 20-or-so days with auto-loss decks, use my now-lowered MMR to get 5 wins because my card collection is horrible (I can’t even build a half-decent Demon Hunter deck with the cards I have: 0 Priestess, 0 Skull, 0 of that 1 mana draw a card Outcast, etcetera), then return to what I’ve been doing until next month about 20 days in, etcetera.
On the flipside if you weren’t having fun, the decision to stop playing after 7 losses was probably the right call 
Remember kids, everything in moderation, even losing!

Dude. I lost 7 matches in a row. Then won once. Then I lost 8 in a row. Then I won twice. Then I lost 9 in a row. I have the hsreplay records. It happens. It made me want to quit too. But then I kept at it and the next day I went in some crazy stomping streaks. Jumped up from silver to diamond quickly. Keep at it.

what happened to your DH cards?? they gave you most of the set and there wasn’t a WHOLE lot more in AoO?
I have the free ones alright, but even with them you still lack half a deck (like I said, no Priestess, Skull, Sigil Runner, Spectral Sight, etcetera). And sure, I can fill the rest of the deck with the more lackluster DH cards since a DH doesn’t really have bad cards, but it would still be a mishmash that’s no fun to operate, and still stands no chance vs top-tier decks.

I played like 20+ matches with really good decks (tempo DH, Secret Rogue, Stealth Rogue, and Egg Warrior) to start this new season and got smoked. I lost consistently and brutally while stuck in silver. The last couple days I have started to move lower again approaching 50% wins.
I am exactly that casual guy who used to run 15-10. Then I played a couple of good runs to Rank 5 on mech pally right before the changes.

Also, I feel the OP’s pain. I hate the Rng right now and think all highlander mechanics are broken as hell. I think you should be rewarded for smart play not saved by rng.
I had a game yesterday where my egg warrior lackey discovered DQA when I had four cards left. DQA same turn as lackey gave me her 8/8 and ysera unleashed (which refilled my dead deck with giant dragons), and another giant dragon. The mage reno’d my dragons, but very next turn ysera’s portals refilled my board and gg.
That’s not good game play, imo.

This is 100% what is wrong with the game. And mana cheat swing turns. I laughed pretty good at this one.

Try adding Millhouse Manastorm and generous mummy to your deck. You’ll probably win then
I feel for you as this happens to me and everybody sometimes too. Unfortunatelly Blizzard simply does not care about this. They probably don’t even read posts especially such rants like this so it will change nothing. All you can do is either stop playing altogether or just stop for a while because it’s not good to play when you’re this tilleted as you will probably make more mistakes. I’ve been more annoyed with HS lately too. I’m upset that from D5 to legend is the same grind as it used to be in the old system…
I lost once 20 games in the row.
Its the algorithm. Forces loses to balance mmr and encourage spending.
