You suggest a minion and then you try to guess the correct one. It will tell you what is right and then you narrow it down. It’s like wordle for HS cards.

I know that card because Renolock was my nemesis when I played Wild. I finally slowed down and realized what I was doing wrong. Sometimes I’d silence it, other times I’d leave it alone like other posters have suggested.
I suppose if you encounter the same cards over and over again with regularity it might be easier to memorize the 10 to the power of N number of cards there are. I dont, the only reliably consistent cards i run into are in duels and bgs. the initial treasures and the tier 1-4 minions. tier 5 is rare to encounter without triple into them and tier 6 is seemingly only encountered that method.
I wish I had so many of the cards yall say so passively… like Reno, Shudderwock, Astalar, Sir finley, Brann, etc. Heck, Im just tired of seeing EVERYone in duels having a secret 2nd hero they become and get a new power entirely. So very OP and annoying.
this game is a slow build if you are free to play. there are a few shortcuts, but on average it takes awhile to accumulate the resources to run whatever deck you want whenever. you may already be aware of this, but i had some thoughts…
yep, remember this is an old game. some people played with those cards for the 15-24 months they were in standard, then continued to use them in wild legal formats. when you spend that much time with a card, you know what it does and how to use it most efficiently.
bgs, is a fun easy to get into mode. it requires little to no money investment, and i think it is quite fun.
duels, on the other hand, is expensive to get into. because it rotates wild sets in and out periodically. (this is also why the new twist mode is hard to get into) to be really competitive in these modes you need a large collection. for example…
these are hero cards. from your post i’ll assume a set with them is duels legal right now.
there aren’t any hero cards in standard right now except “lord jaraxxus” in warlock core set. so you’ll only see this card type currently in duels/wild/twist…etc. i think there have been 3 rounds of hero cards in the past…with a few more scattered in here and there.
astalor, and a version of sir finley from sunken city, are the only standard cards here. the rest are from old wild sets.
like i said, you may know some of this already. if that is the case, sorry for the novel. these are just thoughts i had while reading your post. good gaming to you!
yeah I dont follow standard at all because if i were to try and make a standard deck it’d be 100% core cards.
I know what the card does. I was going to get screwed either way. Might as well find out what kind of scummy deck I was dealing with.
And no, I do not play dirty rat. That is also quite the scummy card.
