Why is Squelch different from every other setting?

well personally i dont really care much about it, because i just do it at the start of the game by default, because it just annoys me, always has…

Auto-squelch would make it so that I don’t have to experience the annoying emotes before squelching. Any amount of time posting on this forum is worth the even the remote possibility of that being the case someday.

Then go play magic. Bye.

Agreed.

I so agree with you, which is why I have a hard time understanding the need for a squelch setting to be a priority when there are so many better issues to solve.

People are passionate about it and it’s not a huge deal to add it, they should just add it.

I personally couldn’t care less either way but it annoys me that Blizzard won’t just do it when it’s been requested for so long by quite a passionate and vocal group of the player base.

You have no idea if it is or isn’t.

However loud you think they are, this group is a tiny, tiny minority of the player base and not an effective use of resources.

Agreed, but some people just get triggered by cartoons.

Doesn’t matter, they’re loud. I’m sick of hearing about it on here and on Reddit and it would keep them happy.

Plus, it’s an important part of the player base, people that generally play enough for it to bother them which also means they probably also buy stuff.

I haven’t seen the code and have limited knowledge on the subject but it certainly doesn’t seem like a big deal and Iksar didn’t say it was, surely this would be his response if it was the case rather than his incredibly ridiculous reasoning.

Again, I couldn’t care less, what bothers me is Blizzards attitude towards their player base. Just do it FFS.
