Why is Paladin in even the game?

Ok even factoring that in Odd Paladin has been a strong deck basically since baku was made, handbuff was pretty recently a strong deck, and shirvallah OTK is around. Early on in the meta secret paladin was strong too.

It’s also worth noting that they don’t design cards with wild in mind, that’s part of why they made a rotating standard format. Balancing new cards against everything that has come before would be a massive undertaking and significantly slow down the cadence of new releases and result in either massive amounts of power creep and/or extremely bland sets

I have two issues with that.

  1. Why aren’t we allowed to express dissatisfaction at balance issues? I’m pretty sure even you admitted they were op.
  2. Blizzard really doesn’t care about this forum.

Yes Paladin is not in a good spot now. But if they hadn’t spent so long avoiding dealing with them properly, community sentiment wouldn’t have built up to the point where they HAD to overnerf them. If they undershot the nerfs again they’d have lost a significant amount of players. I’ve seen it before with Blizzard titles. In 2017 they reworked Mercy in Overwatch and the result was the most broken thing you’ve ever seen in a competitive game. They did several half baked non nerfs until in the end they had to make her unplayable to retain players. Now Mercy was my main hero but even I could see it wasn’t right.

Paladin has been nerfed to death. It’s unplayable trash now, good luck getting wins with no reliable card draw outside the Secrets package (which is itself unreliable,) and good luck trying to have actual fun while playing Secret Librams

We must be playing a different game. I got legend this month playing Paladin and it was quite easy. Probably happened because i played no secrets or librams.

There’s at least two solid Paladin decks out there to play. the trick is understanding the deck you are playing and stick with it.
