They work 3 expansions ahead, so that mini-set’s likely been mostly finished since last Spring.

They’re too busy calculating how many low monetization players will be lost if they try to force them into higher monetization modes, trying to determine if the new battle pass will ultimately be profitable.

I mean the real answer is the fact that there are World Champions coming up this week and Blizz has held back on Nerfs over that in the past, but I know that doesn’t give likes and trust levels so just pretend I said something snarky about the Reward Track or DH being a cash grab alright

That isn’t the case, though.
There’s 4 classes at Tier 3 at best.
I am in some kind of Bizarro World micro meta right now packed with the bad classes, but for the majority who don’t share my horrendous RNG, it’s fairly limited.
DH needs a nerf, it’s too dominant. And maybe Voracious Reader and one card in the ETC combo.
Sorry, should have said, “redesigning”. If they’re smart they’ll use it as an opportunity to reset this meta, which is pretty bad, by all accounts, and I don’t think a few nerfs will fix.
Too busy counting money, being happy at reddit, polishing the event that was coming 2 weeks ago, counting more money, firing ppl, more counting, and finally throwing out the change to count moar bills
It really annoys me that they actually design cards so far in advance while they maintain a “wait and see” attitude toward what the current cards do to the meta.
They need to play test and focus on next expansion only.
That said I’m pretty sure the covid had a big impact on the cards we are seeing now

You literally have to CAREFULLY choose how to spend your gold, because gold is finite. I can’t just save up and go to arena. I have to weigh my odds to win it, against other options. Like Battlegrounds, Packs, or Duels.

The nerfs of Illucia and Cabal Acolyte make it clear that the current kind of meta, which is only slightly more extreme than what Scholomance ended with, is exactly what Blizzard wanted.
At the start of Scholomance 8-9 classes had competitive decks, Vicious Syndicate said there were no Tier 1 decks, and many said it was more balanced than the game had been in a long time. And then Blizzard set about destroying it to strengthen aggro.
The best action when you wanna avoid something as a big corporation is to ignore it and act like nothing happened.
Try to hide yourself because of it only gets people more angry.

Ye, but its worse now. You get pre-determined gold rather than 100 gold a day+quests, and at the time there was no competitive Duels so you weren’t hit there and Battlegrounds was in the xpac pre-order.
