Yeah it appears to be good at a first glance, but once you put your opponent on a clock, zilliax is just a mana waste, you need stronger cards to defend from what’s coming at ya
Does it play like a combo deck? Like, sure, you wanna play wheel on turn 8 ideally, but don’t you have to have a specific hand to survive 5 turns?
One of the more “oddball” things I learned about Wheel of Death is the opponent only has 4 turns to react, not 5 lol. When you cast Wheel it starts the 1st tick. So, the opponent gets 1 turn, then you do 2nd, then 3rd, then 4th but if they don’t get you on 4 you just pass an win .
So, I built a 4 mana Zilliax. (The one that deals 3 damage to you at end of turn, an doubles your attack at the start of your turn.)
Lol dude I was going 2nd so I coined him on 3. My turn 4 he swung for 10 damage. They couldn’t remove him cause he has 7 health, so my turn 5 he swung again for 20 lethal .
It didn’t even cross my mind that I could use the 2-mana module which deals 3 dmg to your hero to make it a lot cheaper, lol.
I still think I would rather use the +1/+1 buff as a second module rather than double-up in aggro hunter version as it sounds more consistent.
But I can see running that version in a more mid-range version of the deck as an aggro win-con to punish slower decks who have stronger late game than you!

So mana reducing is the way to go, nice, i learned something new xd
Well, thank you for the praise! ^^.
I wasn’t playing Hunter though, I was playing WARLOCCCCKKKKKK Because it’s just the best class in the game. (I have no idea if it’s anywhere as good as your Sludgelock deck!) But uhh…take a look!
But I’m not a good judge of deck quality as I rarely experiment with deckbuilding. I would have to spam 50-100 games to come up with an evaluation of the deck.
Does it feel good and does it have a positive win rate? Those are the things that matter.
I can only say that it has the standard warlock package with forge of wills and highrolling on turn 4/5, which is great and I can say that I don’t see much use of Popgar in that deck, unless you’re facing a lot of hunters or other aggro decks
Against big stat minions like Pally, Warlock and Giant decks put on the board early, crescendo + popgar combo will not heal you for much and definitely will not clear the board, and you lack the sludge package to get more sludges for more healing.
I would probably remove popgar from the deck and replace it with something else, but I don’t know what until I lose 10-20 matches to see where I’m the weakest.
Just my 2 cents because you asked
But again, I’m not a competent person to ask for experimental deck building opinions!
Hey man your opinion is totally valid! Just because I love Warlock and deck building doesn’t mean I can’t take the words of someone else. Especially someone better than me at the class. You’re Legend in top what? 70? 50? Lol that’s amazing.
I like the points you made an perhaps I’ll see if I can do something else instead of using Pop’gar ^^.
