What Zilliax are you rocking?

Yeah it appears to be good at a first glance, but once you put your opponent on a clock, zilliax is just a mana waste, you need stronger cards to defend from what’s coming at ya

Does it play like a combo deck? Like, sure, you wanna play wheel on turn 8 ideally, but don’t you have to have a specific hand to survive 5 turns?

One of the more “oddball” things I learned about Wheel of Death is the opponent only has 4 turns to react, not 5 lol. When you cast Wheel it starts the 1st tick. So, the opponent gets 1 turn, then you do 2nd, then 3rd, then 4th but if they don’t get you on 4 you just pass an win .

Most definitely a tier 1 deck

I didn’t need much more evidence than NoHandsGamer hitting top 10 with it

I’ve been watching him for months now, he hasn’t been that high in a long time

What’s his list? If he hit top 10 he has to have it figured out maybe lol.

Wow just when I wanted to check, he switched to tendril shaman for some reason xD

Here was his final refined list (16-4 in top legend!)

I just copied a list on WoD from HSreplay and crushed a handbuff pally with it. Was also surprised it is actually 4 turns lol.

Tyvm, I’ll port it in the game to see what it looks like :eyes: compared to mine lol.

FYI he hit rank 1 last month.

Woot

How did I miss that?

But not at the end of the season, right?

No he hit rank 1 one day then fell back to 15 i believe. He ended last month at 9 from what the leaderboards have him at.

Definitely a good, consistent player and his stats on Wheel Warlock are insane for that rank

I wouldn’t dare play it, but he was owning with it. Yesterday he went 16-4 on it, and for some reason, today swapped to tendril shaman

He commented that it wasn’t the Wheel that was winning most games. It was the copied 15/15’s on board just smashing fast most times.

Yep xD

And if it came to the wheel, mostly what decided the game was the pressure which made opponents play suboptimally

So, I built a 4 mana Zilliax. (The one that deals 3 damage to you at end of turn, an doubles your attack at the start of your turn.)

Lol dude I was going 2nd so I coined him on 3. My turn 4 he swung for 10 damage. They couldn’t remove him cause he has 7 health, so my turn 5 he swung again for 20 lethal .

Lol that actually sounds insane xDD

It didn’t even cross my mind that I could use the 2-mana module which deals 3 dmg to your hero to make it a lot cheaper, lol.

I still think I would rather use the +1/+1 buff as a second module rather than double-up in aggro hunter version as it sounds more consistent.

But I can see running that version in a more mid-range version of the deck as an aggro win-con to punish slower decks who have stronger late game than you!

So mana reducing is the way to go, nice, i learned something new xd

Well, thank you for the praise! ^^.
I wasn’t playing Hunter though, I was playing WARLOCCCCKKKKKK Because it’s just the best class in the game. (I have no idea if it’s anywhere as good as your Sludgelock deck!) But uhh…take a look!

Looks a decent tier 3 mid-range tempo warlock

But I’m not a good judge of deck quality as I rarely experiment with deckbuilding. I would have to spam 50-100 games to come up with an evaluation of the deck.

Does it feel good and does it have a positive win rate? Those are the things that matter.

I can only say that it has the standard warlock package with forge of wills and highrolling on turn 4/5, which is great and I can say that I don’t see much use of Popgar in that deck, unless you’re facing a lot of hunters or other aggro decks

Against big stat minions like Pally, Warlock and Giant decks put on the board early, crescendo + popgar combo will not heal you for much and definitely will not clear the board, and you lack the sludge package to get more sludges for more healing.

I would probably remove popgar from the deck and replace it with something else, but I don’t know what until I lose 10-20 matches to see where I’m the weakest.

Just my 2 cents because you asked

But again, I’m not a competent person to ask for experimental deck building opinions!

Hey man your opinion is totally valid! Just because I love Warlock and deck building doesn’t mean I can’t take the words of someone else. Especially someone better than me at the class. You’re Legend in top what? 70? 50? Lol that’s amazing.

I like the points you made an perhaps I’ll see if I can do something else instead of using Pop’gar ^^.

It works a turn faster in the Demon/Mech DH aggro deck. It’s very powerful if they don’t have an immediate answer.
