uh …so someone cant understnad “add 5 random cards of te same type to your hand at the end of the turn discard them”
and you blame it on blizzard ? why? that wording isnt confusing
what did you think it meant?

It’s not a keyword, but a mechanic.
Keyword is what minions have. I guess this will be a generation mechanic, something along the lines of Jades and C’thun or something, which gets invoked when you play a card with that mechanic.
It will also probably signify which type will be generated, and it’s called packs, because they give 5 of those, similarly to opening a pack xD
As for the hand space problem, I agree, to me it seems like it’s only gonna be good for aggro decks, since they run out of gas. It’s like a temporary hearth stonebrew, but less cards, and can be used multiple times in a game
What is: “of the same type” please?
Is it five battlecry cards? is it five secrets?
Is it five Titans?
Team 5 failed to show an example, so I can imagine many will feel a bit unsure here.
Battlecry cards shouldn’t be, because battlecry is a keyword.
Secrets - yes.
Titans - yes, but I can’t imagine a card giving you 5 titans, lol. Who knows, maybe some legendary does.
So I guess, spells, minions (these can probably include battlecry ones), locations, secrets…and I don’t know what else could it be
Although, I do tend to be wrong a lot with these new things xD
Thus my issue with Team 5’s description.
My problem with it is: you are gonna sink mana to just generate them, right?
And 5 card generation can’t cost less than (2) so a spell giving a pack of something will cost 2 at least.
What kind of cards can you generate that allow more than 1 of the generated cards to be played unless you are at 10 mana. This is just stupid, same as the class gifts. Unplayable bunch of cards.
So you are saying the text at he bottom of the card?
Like Elemental?
Because Team 5 could have provided an example and removed all doubt for players.
Like I said: Lazy.
If it’s a mechanic similar to jades and c’thun and galakrond invocations, it will be almost free, lol, as a part of a card which slightly increases its’ cost
Sounds to me a lot like that card “get 2 temporary random freeze spells”
That was my whole point why this is stupid.
There is temporary so what does this serve except throwing some glitter on top of an already established mechanic.
Again, I could be wrong, but if I’m not, it’s gonna turn every aggro deck into what rogue is now - unpredictable random generator which can’t be played around
Mallenroh’s worst nightmare xD
And it makes sense, considering how much play that bad rogue deck sees!
Great.
Amazing new mechanic by Blizzard once again. Can’t wait to not play.
Mallenroh doesn’t give a squirt what they do anymore.
They have already proven themselves thoroughly incompetent.
I’m just waiting to see if others finally catch on.
It’s a combination of Hearth Stonebrew and Rogue’s Scorpion, and both are pretty popular nowadays
We’ll see
I don’t think the collective ingenuity of this design team could light a birthday candle, if I am being honest.
The only metric they continually out perform is in angering the player base.
Let’s try and have 1 expansion without writing the word “random” on a card.
Perhaps that would revitalize this abhorrent game.
They probably gonna cost 1 because blizzard want It to be playable and we already have experiences suggesting that is the correct cost.
Other than that you’re correct.
They probably used the word pack to reduce card text.
That would require Team 5 to actually design cards.
I wouldn’t hold my breath, were I you.
If we truly get 1 mana generate 5 this will truly be the end of times for this game. There is no saving it at that point.
Is this what the mechanic is?
Omg. Just when you think the design philosophy can’t get any more stupid…
Remember that secret passage exists.
So we technically already have 1 mana get 4 random cards from your deck and even thin the deck if you play some.
