What are you playing for FUN?

Nothing, the game is no longer fun, matchups are decided by who draws the bs broken stuff first wins.

Playing control kaz warrior for fun currently.

Playing quest ping mage with >50% WR, got legend with it. But that was before kazakusan druid exploded in popularity.

I was playing Ping mage as well. I am below 50% with the deck now.
it stands little to no chance against the Kaz decks.

Yup. We asked for control to be a thing, they gave us a “control” card that’s played on turn 5-6 and kicks other control decks out of the game as bad as the demon seed.

Hit legend with it last night. Does not mean deck is very good, but BSM is very fun. Many games were extremely close to the point of me or my opponent having under 5 health. Kaz Druid is really bad matchup, but beats other Kaz decks.

Anything not Hearthstone.

Hearthstone created this environment where winning was everything. You couldn’t upgrade your collection without winning and you needed to either spend money or gut everything and put all your egg in one basket in order to win. They have fixed that for current Heathstone but the psychology of winning is everything remains. This makes Hearthstone a stressful experience especially since the design is at least half Clown Fiesta casino RNG.

But that’s not on the devs. Most people prefer winning over having fun. That’s the only explanation for the overabundance of aggro and other linear decks in the game.

But it was on the devs. Initial Hearthstone you couldn’t complete any quests without winning and that psychology sticks to this day even though they changed the progression system. It created a stressful gameplay loop of I can’t win without making my deck better and I can’t make my deck better without winning. Basically you had to win to progress and you had trouble winning without progress. They changed this for current Hearthstone but people that played since the begining are still in that must win mindset because that was how Hearthstone was for a long time. Doesn’t help that the game is filled with casino RNG moments that make your feel like you were robbed.

I’m curious if that Mage 10 cost dragon spell is worth running, just seems like its a brick without that Iceblood twer thing. Also want to try a Dragon Priest (mid-range/control) and attempt putting together either a mid-range Dragon Pally or a new Prestor Quest with Kazakusan. Deathrattle Rogue is somewhere in there as well, but I feel like I get more excited about the idea of deathrattles than playing them.

i like it because its tradeable
im having fun making copies of it with brilliance and trade them into my deck

then late game i can cast one if the board is empty or try my luck with belinda
because once you have 4 or 5 copies into your deck the chances of belinda drawing them are a bit higher

The 10 cost card is clunky, but it’s really in there for its tradeable value and later games if needed. Here’s a DR Rogue I’ve been toying with. Not much data, but the couple times I played it, it seemed interesting.

Definitly worth it, would prefer running it instead of the Tower, because you can put it back in your deck for Balinda or Evokers to hit.

Yeah, i havent run tower since the first week of its release. I think its cool (hah!) but it still needs like 2 or 3 more 8+ “good” spells to be worth, imo. I like the belinda idea, im just struggling with finding space; the 5 mana arcane thing is what i see everyone else cutting, but it and runes of the archmage are the stabalizing workhorses of the deck, alongside parrot.

Vampire Survivors, Wow, Pokemon legends, Metroid Dread, …anything but hearthstone if i have more than half a mind to put to it currently.

Been fooling around with a Kazakusan Control Paladin. Trying to specifically win with Quel’Delar. It’s definitely a challenge

Haven’t been playing too much in Standard since the mini-set, but did spend some time trying out Pet Collector in a Big Beast Hunter list as a replacement for Guardian Animals. It seemed to work quite well:

Also, I tried out a Big Spell Mage list today without the Wildfire Package. I wasn’t sure about how the lower end of the mana curve would work, but it actually worked fairly well (for BSM values of “fairly well”).

Gear Grubber actually feels really good in this sort of slower list.

Drakefire Amulet is okay, but probably far too fair for a 10-mana card. Though it is great to draw with the Evokers.

Obviously not really competitive, but a bit fun:

The deck name’s a little misleading, but Murlocbridgegoonknifeadin didn’t fit. I guess there should be a reference to Divine Shield in there somewhere too? Idk, it’s a hot mess, but fun. (Also, yes, even bugged Saidan can pay off thanks to Blessed Champion… still wish they’d fix him though)
