Plague of Flames isn’t in standard and never let you pick the target. It’s also one of the most powerful removal cards ever… and… again. Is not currently a standard card.
Frankly anyone who thinks Chaotic Consumption isn’t an absolute staple card in any controlling (or even aggro) warlock deck is… wrong.
It’s a reasonable 2 drop with lifesteal that deals 2 damage to a minion guaranteed. That’s pretty good. Might not make the cut, but it’s pretty good and I think it’d kinda push the game a bit too much as a 2/3. (Broadly, they need to tone down a lot of stuff they aren’t going to, but I’m happy to see cards undertuned overall than everything be pushed).
I never implied that it is in Standard. What i point out is that rather than Chaotic Consumption powercreeping the older cards, it’s the other way around.
Plague of Flames wins by a landslide between the 2. You can cope your way through that this card will be played, but it’s never worth taking a deck slot, so it won’t.
Staple as well xd.
The card won’t even be played in Aggro because it’s never worth the deck slot. There are far better cards to run than this card in an Aggro deck.
Don’t even bother with Control, this card never gets put in a Control Warlock deck. If you can’t understand why, then there is no reason to continue this conversation.
I mean that’s just a blatant cop out. And you’re still so unbelievably wrong. I don’t even understand the thinking as to how this could be bad, it’s such a blatant misunderstanding of the mechanics of the game.
You play Armor Vendor, then Chaotic Consumption it killing a minion, or an imp off of Sargeras’s portal, or a Nagaling, or whatever. In aggro decks you sac something small and meaningless to kill a big threat from the opponent. It’s super mana efficient. It’s like Light it Burns except it can destroy titans that Light it Burns can’t.
Yep, this tells me all i need to know about your “knowledge” of Hearthstone.
Next thing you’ll tell us that it’s stronger than Light it Burns.
You can cope your way through. We’ll see in the next expansion where i’ll be proven right because the card won’t see any play, because its effect is never worth a deck slot.
Control Priest doesn’t have loads of tokens though, and Consumption doesn’t care about minion stats. Consumption is certainly stronger than most of Warlock’s current hard removal.
2/2 lifesteal can be great against aggro. its a really good card imo.
Idk about everything else, the 1 mana destroy especially, probably very good in imp and difficult to use in anything else.
forge of will look cool in big warlock.
Loken is understated, I don’t find the card very good considering that its hard for warlock to outlive aggro.
monstruous form… I dunno. Good for trading?
mortal eradication may enable a control style warlock Its a good card
Disciple of sargeras looks like the 4 mana 3/3 imp, except its cost a discard and 2 additional mana to forge the card. I can’t see that being used. it much worse than the imp card we have already .
Literally every single titan can dodge Light it Burns. I’m not sure what “this tells me everything I need to know” actually means because you’re literally not saying anything. I just think it shows your complete lack of imagination. Hard clearing a big threat by throwing away a 1 drop is a good use of resources. Control Warlock runs Tour Guide too. Even just like some kind of midrange imp deck with Sargeras as a top end would probably work okay. Depends on how good the new early game tools are.
