I have spent more on my current pc than I’ve spent on phones in my entire life and it’s not even an expensive pc, I’m really seeing a lack of incentive to pay premium on a phone for what little amount of utility they have. I have even gone back to taking pictures of maps instead of using map apps simply because I don’t have the data to store anything other than facebook lite and maybe a bank app. I even used the compass application when I was travelling around China for the bulk of it because my phone was too bad to give me a correct gps location and the screen had so many cracks it was barely visible but the maps could tell me the longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of my hostels.
I haven’t played clash of clans, but the game play is something that I’ve seen in old flash games.
Sure the graphics and sounds aren’t obviously as shiny and instead of 60 units they may only have 10, but the basic game play loop is at the same level.
I’m… actually kinda glad? It’s a game I can safely pass up on.
In order to promote the game there will be kazausan power level tie ins in every blizzard game that you can only get by playing it.
So…this is just Clash Royal Blizzard Edition, right?
I’ll give it a shot, if it’s successful enough to warrant actual attention from Blizzard it could easily morph into a pretty good game given time 
Of course it could flop and turn into Mercenaries 2.0- so I don’t intend to make the mistake of spending money on it early on again lol, even if it’s initially enjoyable
If you really enjoyed this you’d be better off trying warcraft 3 custom games, I had quite a bit of fun with this style of game when I was a little kid, there was one game called card shuffle I think and another one where theres like 3 lanes, a port and 2 planes, same concept but actually the blizzard one looks like it lacks depth compared to these that are just custom games within warcraft 3 made by people not for profit. As for what you do on your phone, idk but there must be lots of better things to do.
I am actually would be pretty excited to be part of the beta, not in spite of but because I anticipate flaws. If the game is particularly bad, I’m even more excited to be part of the beta. The worse it is, the more I’ll have to write about.
They already have that and it’s called HOTS, that work out well for them the first time so why would they do it again?
Nay nay, good sir. In Arclight you play as the automated lane mobs that HOTS players farm.
Without seeing the game it’s hard to give an opinion, but the mobile market is growing and the warcraft franchise is huge so it’s natural to try and grab that market
I saw the announcement boasting “Blizzard-quality gameplay!” and thought “Guys, this no longer means what you think it does…”

because they didn’t put this one in HS, unlike mercenaries and BG.
Maybe they learned that if people want to play a game they will download it and clogging HS with more modes that have nothing to do with HS is annoying

This is a grab for Chinese money.
I signed up for beta. If the game is strictly mobile, I probably won’t be playing it. I do have a capable cell phone, but have never been a fan of playing games on it.
Has anyone ever played Goblin Commander? It’s a game I fell in love with as a kid. My friends and I would play against each other all the time. We even made a cardboard divider to split the screen so we couldn’t see what the other was doing. This game looks just like that, with better graphics, and online.
I’ve never played Clash of Clans, but from what I am reading, this game is a rip-off of that. That’s unfortunate. Hopefully there’s more to this than that. It looks… okay. I’ll probably be trying this out, at the least.
They could have spent the time they wasted on this tower defense to make an actual game better, like Wc3 reforged.
I don’t want microtransactions, I want to pay for a game and then receive a whole game xD
