VS Syndicate's latest Data reaper report is out

Edit: also funny how they don´t mention at all that they were a big advocate for the “no nerfs, trillion of buffs” approach that just horribly backfired.

In their defence, they did also say ‘be careful about nerfing Shaman’ which of course the devs ignored and is a big reason for the increasing polarisation.

The main crime is not kicking Guff to the curb several months on, and I will die on this hill. It’s like every year they have a blind spot with certain decks/cards/packages. Last year it was Librams.

The irony here when all you ever played was secret mage in wild and stopped playing when it became bad

Follow The State of Wild if you want to listen to people talk about how Wild is going.

As much as their date is good, aside from Ridiculous Hat, they don’t seem to have people that are particularly adept at actually analyzing gameplay from a design perspective.

If you think Edwin is anywhere near the power level of Varden you’re insane.

That isn’t irony. It was all i had cards for at the time.

If all you replied to me for was to attempt to criticize then you have no business here.

You nailed it on the head. The more this meta drags on, the more convinced I am that Renethal is one of the biggest problems. I understand that this game is so many layers of rock/paper/scissors, but it’s getting ridiculous. First question going into a match is what is opponent’s class, then do they have 30 or 40 health? Another layer. I believe, like you’re saying, the option to have 40 health has further driven the need(?) for power creep, to the point where if I’m at 20 health at 7 mana, I’m shaking in my boots because it’s totally possible for the opponent to go lethal or get really close already.

While the layers of R/P/S are often more mild, the Renethal layer has apparently added too much complexity. Initially, 40 health meant the opponent was likely not running an aggro deck, but we’ve even seen the disappear with Quest Hunter running Renethal.

Anyways, on a bit of a ramble here, but I think you made great points.

Quest Hunter isn’t an aggro deck.

After having read the report, and listening to nohandsgamer’s latest rant, all I could hear from Standard analysts and high ranked players is moaning about and mourning of Snowfall Guardian, a card that should have been killed long ago. The single most broken card the entire archetype relied on abusing as humanly as possible, gain immense tempo, stall and board lock the opponent in the process. As toxic of an interaction as Flurgl + Toxfin is, allowed by negligent and oblivious developers to define an entire class’ identity and suppress other potential archetypes.

I mean accourding to faaaaar too many people here at the forums every card is usless unless its not driving the meta. So by the fanboys logic, ya why shouldnt we get refunds.

waits to be yelled at that Blizzard is a corporation and deserves to make money despite the fact any single bundle of 50 card packs for this game costs as much as an ENTIRE new game that gives you ALL its content

Generally thats the response to anything complaining about money at least. To pretend the person MUST be a greedy F2P player vs someone thats spent $100s and feels ripped off.

You had almost all the mage cards, if not all of them, lol. And you were defending the deck when it was the most broken cheating mana like there’s no tomorrow.

Seems like you are in denial, as usual. This is just hypocritical and I’m calling you out on this one.

Probably gonna have to agree to disagree considering the premise of the quest is to deal damage with spells (whether to minions or hero) then blast the hero with zero cost hero powers nonstop, pretty much ignoring whatever I’m actually doing with my deck, which, in my opinion, is one of the defining factors in an aggro deck. The only reason the average game length for Quest Hunter is as long as it is would likely be Renethal boosting people to 40 health.

Do you have something to say on message? I didn’t think so.
And you have the nerve to use the word irony.
Here’s a word for you: Hypocrisy.
