I immolated someone and was impressed with how cool the art is for it. It shows their cards glowing and increasingly damaged each turn.
You’re so mean… that’s not very nice.
Have to say…jackpot + rogue naga thingy is very, very fun
turn 5 rune of the archmage ![]()
I just played six games in a row with Quest Shaman and uhm i have to say the Charged Call pool at 10 is quite small. Getting double Neptulon is fairly easy and quite satisfying. :).
Murloc shaman, just to see if the 2 legendary murlocs from the previous year are somehow useful.
Morphed to “battlecry murloc shaman”, since murlocs alone seems not consistent
It’s ok - he beat me up for doing it ![]()
Still not live for Android 3:57 EST Amuricah
Check again, I just downloaded it
Were you prompted???
EDIT: I just went straight to the play store. It’s there, hit update.
This is the 1st patch EVER that I was not prompted by “WE CAN DOWNLOAD IN THE BACKGROUND!”
Herp.
Currently waiting until the Deck Tracker Update is out and working again. Mainly had to stop because my draw luck did a 180 after the patch and I couldn’t draw anything I needed when I needed it for quite a few games in a row.
Are you sure they do? What incentive does the app store have to delay the release? Whatever time they need for their vetting process could be done well in advance if the patch is provided early enough. Seems to me that Blizzard merely needs to get the patch to the platform earlier to avoid this issue.
Nonetheless, I was able to patch this morning. Added Drown into my Quest Priest deck.
THe proof is that android has lag and iphone has much less if any lag. I had the patch on iphone long before android customers. That’s not a blizzard issue.
So maybe the Android platform needs the patch sent up a day earlier than iPhone. Send it up earlier. If I were Blizz, I’d find out how far in advance does each platform need the patch in order to ensure that it’s ready for release at the specified date and time. And then meet or beat that deadline. Seems like that would be simple.
But let me ask this question… who in that interface is the client? Is Blizzard the customer and iTunes (or whichever platform) is the service provider? Or is it the other way around?
?!
You’re just hating on blizzard to hate.
The fact that you’re complaining about blizzard not working around Android’s failures is laughable.
We are. Which is why I don’t have a crappy android phone.
I always start with the Play store download because it seems like there’s less of the back-and-forth dance between the app and the store that way.
That’s what I will look for in the future.
The thing is, 99% of the time in the past I was alerted to the download via the game and sent to the store.
This time, no indication.
I mean in the relationship between Blizzard and Android. Does Blizz contract with Android for the right to post the App on their site? OR… does Android contract with Blizzard for the rights to host the App.
I’m saying I think they ought to take ownership of at least some of this issue and take steps to fix it.
If Blizzard is submitting the App on time in accordance with the host’s requirements, then I would agree. But Blizzard’s track record on patch releases does not earn them that assumption. Now if either (or both) companies were to come out and say that Blizzard submitted the App for review, let’s say, 72 hours in advance as per policy, but Android failed to commit the resources to vetting the App in order to get it pushed on time, then I would agree that this was largely on Android. On the other hand, if they came out and said the Blizzard submitted their App only 6 hours prior to the desired launch time and Android requires a minimum of, let’s say 48 hours, then the responsibility is largely on Blizzard.
Now if you are asking if I voiced by dissatisfaction in feedback to the App Store for the tardiness of the update, I can tell you that I did.
And to be fair, it’s not like the past where the game could not be opened. I was still able to play on the old version, so this is certainly not some catastrophic problem. Just a little inconvenient. So kudos to Blizz there. But I still think they can (and should) do better.
I think you fundamentally don’t understand the monopolies that are the mobile platform OS.
Historically Android has gone live before iDevices.
Also, obligatory PC master race meme.
Dont like it, play on a real platform.
I play while sitting on the toilet. Is that what you mean by “real platform?”

Anyway, my point is that I think blizzard can do more to get patches released to mobile players at (nearly) the same time as the PC release.
