I feel ya’. I miss Big Spell and Tempo.
By the time we got Dragoncaster Big Spell Mage was long gone, Meteor,Dragons Fury, Arcane Artificer,Dragoncaller Alanna,Firelands Portal those were true core cards of the deck.
Dragoncaster allways felt like a 1 off card you ran on Highlander to cheat out Puzzle Box or Power of Creation early thats it.
It was also my favorite all time deck by far.

My favorite was definitely classic tempo mage , but Big spell was great too.
That’s funny as all of those are among the classes I am most excited to play once the expansion launches, death rattle beast hunter looks lot of fun, highlander quest shaman is getting several new nice toys, and cyclone mage looks pretty sweet too with Mozaki as yet another win condition.
Do you enjoy Cyclone mage? i think it’s kind of clunky.
Alas I took a break when Boomsday Launched and returned for AoO, so I missed the good times. It’s been difficult rebuilding my collection, and so I had only one competitive standard deck; so it was quite crushing when it was nerfed.
Fortunately thanks to WOW gold I have been able to rebuild my collection fairly well. I have most of the cards of AoO now and I’ll be buying about 80 packs of so when Scholomance launches. Hopefully that will be enough to give me a deck that will take me into high plat/low diamond. I’m not that competitive of a player, so as long as I have one or two decks I’m happy.
It seems fun to me, and with the additions of the new set, mage has a LOT of cheap spells to go with it, as well as cheap minions to generate more while also contesting the board early game, like wand thief and wandmaker.
I dont agree with a lot of Trump’s ratings but at least he has the sense to realize Raise Dead is good. Idk how people think 0 mana add 2 cards to your hand is bad. This card is literally better than Thoughsteal, hands down.

Clearly Trump is respected by quite a few posters on this very thread, so to begin with several of your points are flat out false.
Then there is the absurdity of even posting here to begin with. I may as well go and post on a cucumber appreciation thread about how much I personally don’t like cucumbers… okay so that was such a productive use of my time. But then if I were to go and say that nobody likes cucumbers and that they are good for nothing well… I mean that would be something else.

Yes and no. While they didn’t get much new stuff to work with they don’t really need it either since highlander hunter has been a pretty consistent tier 1 or high tier 2 deck for quite a while now so if they pick up a few of the better cards that can slot into that deck they’ll still have a strong deck. They’ll take Demon Companion, Wolpertinger, Teacher’s Pet, and maybe Shan’do Wildclaw and add them into their already established highlander hunter deck and do quite well for themselves
Well, Trump’s opinions, as far as I know, wasn’t out to belittle or get at anyone. So when he gets flak from you, most people don’t see it as anything but unprovoked aggression from your part.
Most people don’t find unprovoked aggression as reasonable or just, so they speak up.
You’re like the bully who punched somebody, and then is surprised when others around who saw it punched you back. “but but but it’s both punching? what’s the difference?”
Listen, I wasn’t hating on the guy, I just said Trump’s not relevant in 2020 and instantly got attacked for it.
How’s that an act of bullying ? If anything I’m the one getting bullied for stating my unpopular opinion.
My real complaint is actually the nature of the thread, I’m not a fan of those ‘‘x person did x review let’s discuss it’’ type of thread. Relying on somebody else’s opinion to discuss and make a thread doesn’t feel right.
I have no problem with anyone watching his review but reading this thread made me think this guy is just a trump fanboy trying to promote his videos.

I personally don’t watch Twich, just some youtube videos, watching twich streamers such a waste of time.

I wouldn’t consider myself a Trump fanboy, but I respect his opinion and enjoy his content. So I figure his latest video would allow for the facilitation of a conversation that utilizes his card evaluation and then develop from there.
My problem with your posts is that they haven’t contributed to the conversation at all; and personally that really bugs me, why bother doing anything at all if it’s such a complete waste of everyone’s time?
If Trump is as much of a nobody these days as you claim to say (and I think this thread has proven otherwise) then my thread would naturally not get much attention and would then fade to obscurity with few or even no comments and you would have been vindicated that way, for all that would have been worth.
However, the fact that this thread now has 60 responses and considerable discussion, I think it is safe to say that you have made an utter donkey of yourself.
Now if we could move onto the productive discussion and stop bickering over minutia.
He’s fun to watch. I don’t know about review history but his videos on Quest Shaman turned me on to the deck and got me playing competitively again instead of just doing solo adventures.
