Waiting for the day the most common Hearthstone joke opens with, “Argus, Arfus, and Arthas walk into a tavern and …”
I think they’re all really solid, I dunno how I’d value them individually because their uses are so wildly different.
I think Voltron is probably the most limited, and a deck for him doesn’t really exist as of right now.
Golganeth I think is the best one easily. The ability to respond to any threat, or just draw a bunch of cards is really powerful.
Eonar is fine. Sargeras is expensive, but is game winning if you can get the game to reach that point. Khazgoroth is unexciting but is really just a super amazing board control tool that will destroy other board-based decks. Primus and Aman’thul are both just solid value. Norgannon is… weird, but kind of a cool design. Argus seems really strong, none of them really seem bad.
How is warrior titan a really excellent board control tool. Are we looking at the same cards? 6 mana remove one minion from the board? At random? Nice board clear right there
Yes, clearing an enemy minion for free every turn is good board control. Forcing the enemy to commit resources to clearing it is helpful too.
It’s also pretty sticky.
Not for 6 mana dude. For 6 mana this titan is pure garbage
Yes for 6 mana. Unless you’ve done nothing for 5 turns and are way behind it’s a huge swing.
Huge swing? Removing one minion at random for 6 mana? What kind of hearthstone are you playing dude? Bronze rank decks filled with core cards that you’re considering 6 mana 4/4 that maybe kills a minion a huge swing? What a troll
Most of the titans do look kinda bad to me,including the warlock one.
But there is a few titans that have some combo potential. Like the paladin one and the demon hunter one. Those could be good i guess.
Has some potential:
-hunter
-paladin
-demonhunter
-warrior maybe
It keeps clearing things, it can cycle itself or give armor or 5 attack, it’s not 6 mana clear a random enemy minion.
It can remove 2 minion with the +5 attack option. Remember the Warrior also gets +5 attack that they can use to swing wherever. People are way off with all of the Titan evaluations in my opinion.
Remove paladin from the list. Add shaman. The shaman titan is basically a 3 mana 5/7 that can remove any minion or multiple minions or draw you 3 cards.
Also, I think the priest titan is very good because has removal so he can clear the board when he shows up, has 10 hp, discovers a legendary. Or simply get this guy with a 6 cost with taunt and lifesteal, pretty strong play for 7 mana.
The mage titan is also very good, play it on 6, increase the costs of cards in opponent’s hand which means he will play just 1 card, removal for your titan. If he won’t be able to kill it (and believe me with 8 hp at 6 mana and cost increase for the opponent he will live a lots of times) you go into double secrets to protect him + secrets from hand for further protection or simply 10 damage if you can’t protect him another turn.
And the druid one would be simply a crazy op card if it was something like 8-9 mana. At 10 mana is a very strong card that will help druid a lot against aggro.
Yeah great it removes one minion at random. Gives you 5 atrack for a turn and then it dies the very next turn because it has 4 health only. Absolute trash for 6 mana.
Mage titan played on 6 against a board based deck means it will die the very next turn. Against control it will die to removal. That’s it.
At 10 mana druid titan will do nothing against aggro because even with ramp it will be played around turn 7. On Turn 7 vs aggro you’re already dead.
And no shaman titan is not a 3 mana xard because it discounts your spells. You need to draw othem or have it in your hand to utilize this.
Yeah cards that go 3 for 1 are total garbage. A card needs to fully clear the board, heal you to full fill your hand. and deal at least 30 damage for 0 mana and then its barely acceptable.
I mean, considering what tools Warrior currently has…and how good Aman’thul or Golganneth are…Khaz’goroth is seriously lacking.
Aman’thul poofs two specific minions (2 for 1), discovers a legendary minion (3 for 1), and has 10 health afterward while not suffering from “dies to Light it Burns” disease (4+ for 1). In a class that already has a wealth of control tools.
Sargeras and Argus instantly generate a board and deal with your opponent’s. Primus juices both himself and you while removing a specific threat (like a Titan). Golganneth wipes enemy board and heals you, or draws you a spell to do that, or one-shots the enemy Titan. Aggramar pushes lethal with a Gladiator’s Longbow that remains after he dies. Eonar is a Reno with 10/12 stats, or a free 10/12, that protects herself. Amitus is the queen of win-more cards by applying a Cariel effect to your whole board and granting a permanent Bloodlust effect.
Khaz’goroth is really bad in comparison. The only competition for “worst Titan by a lot” is Voltron and that’s mostly because Rogue doesn’t have a deck for it right now, and may see one in this expac with Mech synergy.
And if you are not dead you go from 5 hp to 30 hp with a 5/7 and a 5/5 taunt. I don’t see how that’s a bad card, this will be a power card for druid for the next 2 years.
It’s clearly an aggro/mid-range card. You should not be dead on board vs aggro and vs control even if it gets wiped, if you are ahead when you play it you will also be ahead next turn because he won’t be able to play anything after using a card to remove it, you can also play it on a decent board when going against control, if he uses aoe he won’t clear the 8 hp titan, if he uses single target removal for your titan you can keep pushing face damage
Welcome to HS 2023, where nobody runs low on cards on a regular basis anymore. And like I said, if you don’t have any spells, he can probably draw some for you since he targets overload with his draw.
