It doesn’t matter how fast or slow your deck is generally, it matters if you should play the aggressor or the counter in your present match up. Against BDK, even slow controlly mage needs to be the aggressor or it loses.
Just like when control priests were crying about warlocks a couple years ago. No, your deck isn’t build for speed, but you have to find a way to push the damage out or just concede.
Exactly this. Knowing which role to play in the fight is critical to success. When your slow deck faces a slower, greedier deck, you have have to play like you’re the aggro deck as much as you can.
