Time warp nerf rant and wild mode

When that spell came out it couldn’t be recast, all subsequent cards led to that cancer, exactly like with Zilliax Warlock, Miracle Paladin/Druid and others… anything that would be able to withstand or overwhelm future years of upcoming Expansions will be nerfed sooner or later.:slightly_smiling_face: And again…one extra turn is enough to win the game :+1:

Who cares? I don’t see anything unhealthy about it, and even if I did, it’s their choice.

Would you support a ban on cigarettes regardless of age? (The only correct answer is no.)

Just waiting for the Resurrect nerfs now because nerfing tier 4 or worse annoyances is what the do now. Resurrect took away my player agency of running crappy minion based homebrews when it was meta. Time to give me my player agency.

Literally nobody actually thinks this, but again it’s interesting to see how you can consistently sound insufferable no matter the thread you participate in. That’s not even the problem people have with the deck, you being intellectualy disnegenuous shows you don’t really know what you’re talking about. The problem with the deck is the ability to regurgitate ice blocks 4-5 times a game while essentially abusing an outdated gaming philosophy that blizz finally caught up on…

Everyone with half an ounce of sense thinks that.

Anyone above Plat know the game is over as soon as the quest in fulfilled. If you’re consistently playing ranked an intelligent player assumes the mage isn’t playing their quest reward without ways to repeat, or obtain ways to discover it back into their hand…

Okay I think there’s been a miscommunication here.

Shuyin claimed that people on the forums routinely complained about having to wait for Time Warp turns to complete. This is clearly true, I’ve seen many such threads myself.

Then you said that nobody thinks that. Which struck me as incorrect, like I said I’ve seen the threads myself, there really are such people.

But now I’m thinking that you meant that the people in those threads were being stupid. In which case we’re actually in agreement.

There are some real morons in Plat tho

Infinite turns was not an old archetype. While there was a deck trying to use Grey Sage Parrot to recast Time Warp, that was a very unstable deck hastily put together when United In Stormwind introduced the bird (less than 3 years ago). Rommath was what made the deck actually function and he is a March of the Lich King card, ie. less than 2 years old.

Getting a single extra turn and using it to kill the opponent is the old archetype. And that is still possible with the nerfed Time Warp.

I’ll just say good riddance to infinite turns. Watching the opponent play solitaire like that is never interesting.

It’s not meant to be. The one meant to have fun playing a deck is the person playing it.

Grey Sage Parrot is an old-ish card to me.

It hasn’t even existed for a third of the game’s lifespan at this point in time…

Mage is just spell storage for other classes to discover now.
Team 5’s bias has gone from obvious to blatant.

I completely agree, there are way more different ways to nerf a card, but instead they just completely kill it. They could make it 8 or even 10 mana, or they could make it cap out at 5 times per turn, but instead, nope, only once per game.

You just described the entire mage card pool today.
Team 5 refuses to give the class the same synergy that other classes have received now for at least 5 or 6 expansions.

That was, by far, THE BEST THING they did for Wild since SM and BP Nerf.

Quest Mage was one of the most annoying Decks ever in HS.

Because Standard sucks and Wild would be absolutely unplayable, if they dont nerf ne worst Combos.

Yes, they could make it cost 9000 mana or only be castable on the rainy Sunday during a fullmoon.

That deck was in rotation for years needing constant nerfs to thw surrounding cards when a simple nerf to Open thw Waygate would suffice.

The problem is not that TW was nerfed. The problem is that TW was all Wild mage had that wasn’t nerfed, and now Mage is left with zero decks that are truly competitive in either format.
I am fine with the nerf.
I am pretty offended that team 5 did not see fit to buff or revert a single card in an effort to allow mage one truly viable deck.
I am however; not surprised, as this has been their pattern now for years.
They do not care about mage players, and have proven that beyond all doubt.
