murloc shaman, token druid, zoo warlock, secret paladin, tempo rogue wdymmmm
funny. Iāve met 2 jade druids and a jade shaman in a row in casual wild. weird huh.
Fair enough.
Serious question though, do you actually still play or nah?
Yeah Iāve got all gold portraits except rogue at about 400 wins. Working on that now. I just play standard ranked at rank 5.
I like arena but I play 99% on mobile or would play it more.
I watch Krippās YouTube vids but not his twitch. Iāve watched every Kripp salt compilation video from both salt chrinicles and twinstone an embarrassing number of times.
As a game to WATCH being played HS is very entertaining.
The meta gets stale very quickly to me but I still grind out dailies from force of habit/not wanting to lose out on gold I guess.
Iāve tried most of the other card games out there but they either donāt have mobile versions, are very p2w or even pay to play, or the games take too long.
I paid 20 bucks for artifact and didnāt play more than the tutorial game. This was a few days after sh*posting here ālul artifact gonna beat hearthstone.ā
How embarrassing for me right?
At least youāve tried other things, even if they didnāt turn out to be awesome. I totally get you on the mobile-only part as well. I play on my phone 90% of the time since my laptop shot craps about a year and a half ago, the rest is on my tablet, which I must say is a fantastic experience compared to my phone. I literally got to make the UnāGoro volcano erupt for the first time last month lol.
I usually find myself watching some Kibler or Trump matches here or there, but I really donāt do Twitch outside of reveals as Iāve never been able to just sit and watch someone play something. Makes me want to play too.
The weekly Omnistone vids on YouTube are probably the most ādedicatedā I get to watching anything HS-related, and even that is only some of the time.
Iāve finally gotten un-lazy enough to start queuing on ladder more lately since the decks I prefer are a bit more competitive now, so thatās fun. I get bored entirely too easily playing anything I donāt enjoy.
Nah - I just play less than ever and havent spent a nickel on the game in like two years. Its fine - this is the direction theyve chosen to take with these ridiculous decks that just dont require very much from those playing them. Its OK. I gues s thats what people want - Easy, quick netdecks with pre defined play orders and very few if any decisions.
Wild is even stupider. Just conceded against another Barnes-tard deck that pulls YShaarj and Obsidian. Excellent game design there. Hilarious.
Why not jump into MtG:A then since, obviously with Artifact as a reference, mobile is not a requirement.
I personally still play HS some but in my opinion it doesnāt compete that well with Magic. <3 Magic
Two decks in Wild are a bit annoying - Barnes Priest and Darkest Hour Warlock.
From what Iāve noticed of your preference Wild will never be a mode I could see you tolerating well as there are a lot of āpower turnsā in Wild that can just make you mad if you canāt take the game with a side of humor.
Yeah instead of fixing the prob letās throw in a band-aid fix LUL
Its a suggestion; I was trying to contribute something to the conversation. Iām not a game designer by any means - Iām just a regular player and based on what Iāve seen on these forums, people want a bit of a slower metagame.
How would you change Hunters and Priests hero powers? How would design them away from midrange and DS/IF combo while keeping them competitive/viable?
I donāt see anyone else in here offering up ideas: just relentless dumb remarks like yours.
I think Gwyneth makes a great point.
I have played the game Yugioh for 20+ years.
I have only been playing hearthstone a week and it is confusing.
Everyone in Yugioh is generally on the same page when it comes to labels.
The hearthstone community is all over the place.
- Aggro decks
- Infinite Value
- Tempo decks
- Control decks
The labels we give in Yugioh are so simple.
Everything is well defined!
-
Aggressive Deck in Yugioh
Is a deck which spams/summons low level monsters.
Nothing else! -
Control Deck in Yugioh
Is a deck which has a restriction!
It restricts the opponent from playing monsters.
It restricts the opponent from playing spells.
It restricts the opponent from playing traps.
It restricts the opponent from maintaining occupation of the board with a monster.
It may do 1 or several of the above things, but rest assured it is trying to āControlā something.
I.E Your controlling the opponent decks spells by restricting/preventing them from using spells. -
Burn Deck in Yugioh
Is a deck made up primarily of spells or traps.
The object is to burn the opponent health until it reaches 0. -
Mill/Discard/Stall Deck in Yugioh
Is a deck specifically designed to run your opponent out of cards.
In Yugioh, you automatically lose if you can no longer draw a card from your deck.
Like all the labels are so clear cut.
The hearthstone labels are really bad for new players to try and grasp.
The OP said Infinite value?
What on earth does that even mean.
Than people talk about Tempo decks.
Than say Tempo decks are aggressive decks.
If they are aggressive, than why are you calling them Tempo?
The labels in hearthstone are so hilariously confusing.
The terms are poorly defined.
They only exist as āgotchaā traps when someone doesnāt like what you have to say.
āLost to an aggro deck on turn 7, fast games are lame.ā
āLOL. Aggro decks by definition MUST win by turn 6 MORON. You lost to MIDRANGE!ā
Fatigue warrior so boring. Armor up armor up pass. 40 turn games
Idiot alert! Thatās CONTROL warrior because you conceded before the game ever went to fatigue!
I hate hero powers that summon infinite value 3/6 lifesteal/freeze elementals
Found the guy that lives under power lines! Thereās no such thing as āinfinite valueā because HS has a 136 turn limit. Gotcha b*tch! huehuehue
See how that works? The definition changes based on whoever wants to argue with you, even though your point is clear and stands on its own without needing to focus on the terminology in the first place.
