I agree. The quest is restrictive and tedious for those who dislike the format.
The problem is if you miss out on of of the weekly quest you will be punished hard. It takes 4000 exp just to finish level 30…
I’d have no problem if it were truly increased rewards. The problem lies in the fact that the developers committed that we’d be able to maintain the same gold and reward earnings while continuing the same playstyle. Dabbling a little outside my chosen playstyle is fine. I dabble in the Tavern Brawl now and then. I tried the Duels, but didn’t care for it. I really dislike the Arena format. The BGs are ok, but not my favorite. Like I said, playing a few BGs would be fine. But having to win? That’s more of a commitment, more than simply dabbling.
It isn’t hard to do 2000 damage to minions in battlegrounds. I usuallt get mine done in about 1-2 games. It’s probably one of the faster weeklies assuming you have experience in battlegrounds.
With the current changes, it’s honestly starting to look like they did increase gold and other rewards.
I know we disagree here, and that’s fine.
I just read the upcoming changes. It does look promising. I’ll wait for more specifics, but I truly hope they are on the right path to getting this thing right. Once the changes are implemented, I’ll be excited to do the math to see how I project to come out at the end. I am still skeptical, but hopeful.
It isn’t fun at all to me. The quest is crap for those who don’t enjoy the format.
I agree. If, as Jefftiffy suggests, the quest can be completed in two matches, then how about changing the quest to “Paly Two Battlegrounds Matches”. That entices people to give it a try, or if you really don’t like it, go ahead and afk your way to completion.
There is a battleground tutorial in-game. Just go to the battleground screen and hit the question mark. It explains the rules and has the walk-through there.
I wouldn’t be surprise if the walk through counted to your 2000 damage. Good luck.
