not having battlepass reduces my hero options in half? I dn’t care about cosmetics, but prefer not being stuck with a junk hero
Can’t say I’d ever pay for a hero skin. Mind you I’ve only changed card backs once since 2017.
Well, maybe it’s easier for me, cause I have been f2p for so long, and others who started later might have a harder time, but I haven’t had to spend any money on this game in years unless I wanted to.
But throughout the times you have struggled with your collection, before it sounded like you had some issue because you’d dusted a good portion of your non mage cards. I went the other approach and virtually never dusted anything but I only got like 3 legendaries and not good ones some seasons and I think that made it kind of tough.
What a bunch of nonsense.
To me or him? Because we had a big long conversation a long time ago when mage was at 44% winrate overall, he couldn’t seem to get anything in his collection to perform, yet he claims now it’s fine to be f2p. It’s just a matter of it being cyclical and depending on how much time you put in and what RNG puts out.
This is just about the stupidest thing I have ever read.
i would much rather pay a monthly subscription like wow and have all cards than the current sort of predatory system they have with packs
It’s true that I am limited in what I play, but HS never promised me all of the cards for free, just that I could play for free, and I do.
If I wanted to, I could probably play Hunter or Priest, or even Warlock, I just have no interest because I am not like you guys.
It takes me a long to learn a class and the way that it plays.
So anyhow; I’m satisfied with the model.
Power creep on the other hand…
Yeah, pretty much. I don’t view myself as some exceptional person who’s so much better than everyone else. Why do you think I’m so much better or luckier than you?
Using it to further pushing runestones (the failed multi currency system from HoTS) is just hyping their predatory monetization route they went with bgs, which is definitely p2w now.
“It’s only cosmetics” is a smokescreen, because it obfuscates that the largest change to the mode started with one massive step that wasn’t.
If you don’t see how the gaming side of computing has contributed to the imprivement of the technology and related fields, I don’t know what to tell you.
The rest is an even longer post of you doubling down on “CALM DOWN BECAUSE I’M NOT MAD GUISE!”
So thanks for proving my point.
Really, take a breath or two!
I was thinking the same thing as I read this, but then I realized I’ve seen too many low effort pro company troll posts.
Because somewhere along the way, a percentage of the human population become inoculated to people encouraging others to live their best lives, and to find happiness. And if they actually found it, they would be miserable. So they can only tear others down who have. To slightly tweak a great Steve Buscemi character’s quote:
“Now they’re so angry moments of levity actually cause them pain; gives them headaches. Happiness, for those people, hurts.”
I still enjoyed it a good amount and it’s still a lot better than the newer stuff they are releasing. Outside of like FF14.
VII and VIII were my absolute favorites.
Triple triad was the very first card game I played lol
How you view yourself isn’t an objective measure though. You could be very privileged but just don’t realize it.
I don’t think that’s the issue. The phrasing was “expect everyone else to be able to do the exact same thing”. “Do the same thing”, not having the same luck or being just as good (however you define “better”) as you to do the same thing.
In other words, it’s about outcome, not the potential or opportunity to reach that outcome.
By answering yes, you’re basically asserting that you believe in equality of outcome. That’s a bold claim, and a claim hard to discuss if we don’t know where you stand on equality of opportunity.
That’s because the last few notable times humanity tried to encourage others to live their best lives, we ended up with massive suffering and death.
Some German guy with a funny mustache thought humanity (or at least his people) would be happier if his [I can’t even type the word it’s censored by forum lol] masterace took over the world.
Some other German guy with big funny beard wrote some manifesto on making people happy, and a whole bunch of countries tried it, including some Russian guy with funny mustache or this Chinese guy who wore his suit so much they named the suit after him.
Since then, the zeitgeist of the western world, or at least in the right leaning parts of it, is deathly afraid if not hostile to any idea suggesting that we might be able to improve things. Especially when said improvement requires we ::gasp:: change our behavior or ::bigger gasp:: have government involved.
Yes yes those aforementioned guys operated on a societal/government level, but the attitude still applies on an individual level. If anything, I would argue the anti-authority attitude started from individuals first, and then they formed political parties and such.
You got your rights on my government! You got your government on my rights!
“Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”.
Something along those lines, perhaps?
Not really actually. The wording is pursuit of happiness, not telling other people how to pursue their happiness.
The idea is that everybody may pursue happiness their own way, as long as they don’t harm anyone else’s pursuit of the same.
So when you come at people suggesting that they change their behavior, that is often seen as you trying to impede their pursuit of happiness. The more you rail at them as being the bad guy, the more they’ll resist. That’s kinda the “beatings will continue until morale improves” approach.
I do believe there has to be a better way to approach the other side. I can’t claim to know the answers myself, but I don’t think the current methods are working very well.
While i’m more than comfortable with the pay from my job and with it not being practical to take on side hustles due to how drained i get from my illness, still a good read. Also great to see you around, been a hot minute!
i actually need to get back to the FF7 Remake n finish it up, i still got a ways to go.
i have been wanting to get into game streaming, recently made a gaming youtube channel since apparently you can set it to record n keep your gaming livestreams. Though whenever i get around to that, i’ma be doing fresh plays so i can have full playthroughs on my channel. More than likely focusing on single player games like some Castlevania games, Resident Evil, etc.
As far as real life “touch grass” stuff goes i’m looking into starting a garden that i’ve been wanting to do for a while, both with pretty things and edible things.
Wow I am impressed sincerely. Nothing but truth. Well spoken.
