Should decks be nerfed based on player experience

I mean, I feel they rarely nerf a card based off of “feelsbadman” moments (sometimes they do, but usually it’s cards that are over-performing). Tickatus is a great example of a card that was widely hated by the community, but the data didn’t back up the hatred. Thus, Tickatus was never touched from the original state. While it certainly had a niche in the meta at times, it was largely an inconsequential card in terms of its meta relevance.

Compare that to Mindrender Illucia, which was also widely hated, but was part of a very powerful Control Priest archetype that got her nerfed to 3 mana. When she popped up in Shadow Priest as a way to lock your opponent out for a turn, she got a complete re-work. Illucia wasn’t nerfed because of emotions, she was nerfed due to having a heavy influence on the meta.

As far as cards I hate right now, Celestial Alignment jumped straight to the top of the list recently. Since the release of Prince Renethal, CA Druid has become more prevalent in my match-ups on ladder. It has been a harsh reminder of how unfun that damn card is. In my obviously unbiased and fact-driven opinion, the card should cost 21-mana. That sounds like a healthy change.
