You mean you enjoy games without 40 Kharkuts?

Decent is like a 5.1/10 bruh.
According to VS, Shamanstone is actually a relevant term. 30% of the ladder is Shamans, a number not seen since… well, Shamanstone happened. It did get as high as 35%, but in all honesty I just don’t recall the last time I’ve seen a class break 30% representation.
It’s going to push Priests away from N’zoth and back into the arms of the DS/IF Combo. Choose which one you hate more. Res Priest, Combo Priest, or Evolve Shaman.
Its a bit boring yes, though its not horrible.
The thing that bothers me is that its here to stay and that they dont change it.
Its almost (almost) like they want make the game bad in the month before new expansion so that we look forward to the expansion very much.
Its still better then the rise of the mech event imo.
Hearthstone if it isn’t one broken mechanic it’s another. No matter what cards they make or do. Still always the same. Broken.
The problem is the evolve mechanic
no really
its been really fine since release s just i dont think it was this popular before
and people love to complain about anything after it becomes popular and call it “a problem”
The aggro evolve version will have it more consistently since they don’t start with a quest in mulligan. Quest shaman also keep cards like questing explorer, sludge slurper, novice, cable rat and evil totem in mulligan whereas evolve shaman usually goes hard for the combo.
All pretty cancer and boring to play against. Although personally I still prefer this than facing bunch of control warriors.
Ever since underbelly angler came out murloc shaman has been a tier 1 deck and still is. Thing is now they have 3 tier 1 decks in total.
Hunter earlier in the year had that iirc. If not it was very close.
Im wondering what is fun for anyone playing RNGstone. Between the outrageous cards being introduced, or reintroduced , the power creep and lack of balancing I wonder how anyone thinks of this game as anything more than a virtual TCG slot machine.
Do you think that the decisions in the game are totally useless and that one is totally at the mercy of the RNG?
Shamanstone 2.0. ITs not at old midrange shammy shams numbers buts it slowly getting there. How the team can let evolve shaman based decks run rampant is beyond logic. ITs obviously a problem. Fix it. Move evolve out of standard and replace with devolve along with perhaps making mogu cost 1 min.
I aggressively mulligan for hare and evolve in the huge majority of the match ups, but I reckon it’s harder to get it when you have the quest.
You can say that for poker as well. There is a reason why some poker players are always at the top. The game requires skill, but that doesn’t change the fact that poker is gambling. Hearthstone at its core is a gambling game(not like poker obv) hidden behind pretty artwork willing we to admit that or not. In Hearthstone decisions matter, but sometimes you are at the mercy of RNG, no matter how good you played and how good you are, the game just wants you to lose, and you can’t do anything about it. This what pisses off the majority of good players.
Hit rank 5 today with pleb budget Quest Shaman. Normally I reach and hover between 10-15 when I’m just messing about for fun but this tore through ranks like butter.
When I say pleb quest Shaman, I didn’t run EVIL Totem, Novice Engineer, MCT, Lifedrinker and I don’t own a Barista or Shudderwock. None of that overload stuff either. And it still beats refined meta decks. That’s how silly evolve and Mogu are.
What you literally described is a core issue then to EVERY CCG and people who get overly annoyed by it should probably just stop playing card games. Outside of the obvious “I need to draw my cards” RNG aspects:
I didn’t jump into LoR during the current beta, did sign up, but I can tell you I’ll probably be ‘that guy’ and run the Teemo deck I saw as I like killing through odd means. There is obviously some RNG present from what I saw in that deck in hitting the right faction when playing a certain card.
I say this as a Poker/CCG player. If you can’t deal with the RNG present in cards sometimes you shouldn’t play the genre. The best person will not always win and that is fine… you need ot think big picture when playing card games and just focus on “your play” and not results as much in short time windows of games.
