Yeah that’s my point tho. What we’re playing against now is what remains after all the other ‘toxic’ decks got nerfed. But it still sucks to lose to right? So I question whether certain decks are as ‘unfun’ in a relative sense, as what we conventionally think, or were they just the victims of the mob mentality of reddit? I propose we balance around what’s fun to play, not what’s bad to lose to. Because ultimately this is by it’s very nature an ‘uninteractive’ game, I take my turn, you take yours. My goal is to have fun at your expense. Why can’t we all just be grown up and admit that?

You mean the winning matchups it has vs any Priest deck including control? Even if you remove the effect you are still getting overwhelmed by stats. You would have to have silence and board development which no class has except maybe Shaman? And Shaman is horrible now. You challenge it on board you are still taking damage. You ignore it. Still taking damage. At least with Face Hunter the issue was that it was too fast. This doesn’t care how fast you are you are still taking damage.
I’ve been running the deck they give you for priest called Undying shadows with no modifications. Here’s what I notice:
Lotta people don’t realize I may be dead on board with the “both heroes take 1 more damage from all sources” card out - use that against the priest. Summon your smallest minions, and paladins, hit the button every turn. Priests will ignore your board except when they do board clears. Needle and the turn 5 clear are brutal, but tokens are your best bet, either way. 1/3 minions for 1 are surprisingly dangerous to me.
Shadow priests have very little healing and life steal - don’t try to be defensive against one, hit them in the face too. If you run a 17-turn deck, this deck is a chess counter to that deck, so you were a poor matchup to begin with.
Most life steal/heals really can off my balance by 2 or 3 opponent health, and i’ve had games where they recover by the skin of their teeth. This deck runs out of gas very fast, so if you gain any ground at all, they’re dead.
It’s a pretty common aggro deck scenario, but taunts and life steal taunts in particular are effective, as well as focusing on the priests face, especially when the +1 damage from all sources is out. That means tokens on board and magic missile and stuff does WAY more damage to face, but opponents always try to clear my board instead.
Finally, DKs don’t seem to have a problem rolling me. Mages are pretty effective too, especially with good secrets.
