Is there any update on the lorebooks? Has this been patched or something? This is the only achievement I am missing…

Just recently started doing this achievement, managed to get to 30/40. If anyone else made more progress please post.
Here is my list from 1 to 17 based on character (Grace, Finely & Halus). The column that says “Who drops it?” a name you should look for and once you see it in order to get a lorebook kill that enemy first, read a lorebook and then click END TURN. I clicked END TURN while the book was spawning so many times 
Also could someone provide more info on Abyssal Jailor, I tried so many time but nothing.

@playHS You might be right, let me double check … going to redo the adventure soon.
what do you mean, you have 100% in everything ?
this isn’t worth it, getting all 40 is clearly impossible at this point seeing no one was able to do it.
I think highest I’ve seen is 32 or 33, I suggest you save your time and get back to it once it’s officially fixed by blizzard.
Managed to contact ClayByte on reddit.com related to this achievement and got a response, here is what he said (on November 14):
Hello! I checked with the team and I believe this achievement is not bugged, and there should be more than 40 scrolls to find and read (but I think you only need to find 40). Do your best to find them all! But I don't think I'll be much help about this, sorry!
And if you find more information that indicates I'm wrong, or that there is a bug we didn't catch, please let me know! And I'll pass it along to the team.

Yeah you are right … I just wanted to have once of the Achievements to say 100% currently my Adventures say 98% oh well … now there is not much going on in HS so figured might as well try this since LK is not out yet. I am currently at 31/40 and I definitely missed some Lorebooks in 14, 16 and 17

I have 33/40…
the unsolved ones (there is no any info how to do them):
- grace’s notes part II (boss #7: captain maya)
- half-digested tome (boss #8: a colossal problem)
- creatures of the ancient seas (boss #8: a colossal problem)
- meet the mrrgltons (boss #10: cousin errgl)
- zin-azshari crystal (boss #11: enchanted statue)
- prisoner’s log (boss #14: abyssal jailor)
- abyssal forces (boss #16: handmaiden zainra)
some players managed to get this one; but after some patch release it stopped working, so I miss this one too
- laws of the queen (boss #14: abyssal jailor)

You mean blizzard ? I feel like they simply don’t care, which is unfortunate.

How many do you have? Has ANYONE ever gotten 40?
I have 22.
That’s after completing the adventure multiple times for all the other achievements.
As far as I know the max is early 30’s.
Unfortunately, this is very low priority for blizzard and don’t see them fixing it in the near future.

I’ve never done a single one. Is this ultra time consuming because you just need to luck out finding the books or is it some sort of puzzle? I don’t entirely know how it works. I played the adventure thing and never saw a single book.
Every level, when you kill certain minions there are these ‘‘lore books’’ that can drop, once you right click on them you get a dialogue that gives you some kind of lore.
However, some books drop from very specific minions that you need to kill and to get them all, you often need to drag the game to the end till you kill that certain creature for it.
Naturally, in regular gameplay you don’t sit through the AI’s entire deck. But the thing is, even when killing every minion for each bosses there’s still some books that cannot drop, which is presumably a bug.
I left you a video so you know what it looks like, it shows a book right away when you start the video.

Awesome, thanks! Is it possible that nothing is bugged and that players just haven’t figured out how to get all the books? Seems like this would be the case judging from the comment above.

Nope, this is not possible at this point.
Trust me, countless of people have been through every level from beginning to end killing every monster in sight and there are still books that haven’t dropped that should’ve dropped (according to game files).

There’s like 16 levels IIRC and you need to do the full playthrough 3 times (1 with each hero) in order to get them all.

As fast as some of those insane puzzles were solved, I find it highly doubtful that the entire playerbase is that bad at sorting this.
People have been on it for months without any success.
I want to do the achievement, but i refuse to put any time into the process without a clear path to completion.
