Exactly.
Reaching legend or whatever isn’t meant to be easy nor fast.
You can improve month after month and in a year you could get to diamond 5, for example.
A change I would like to see is: when you are in a winstreak and you lose, you don’t lose the star (first loss only).
The difference between win = +2 stars and lose = -1 is huge (a full rank difference).
This is true and would let people who play unoptimal decks to reach high ranks; for this reason, I think it will never be implemented, but I think it could help people to play whatever they want in ladder.
Probably, 99% of people would still use their meta deck anyways, so that’s why I don’t think they will make this change.
By the way, ranking seems a long and tedious process, but if you really want to climb and you are playing a good deck, you can easily get to Platinum at least with no effort.
I remember when I first tried to reach high ranks when the rework came out (usually I was a rank 20): with DH (not the day one, but still busted) I got to platinum 10 in 2 days (most where mirror match).
First time I tried wild ladder: I got to D10 with highlander hunter (with zuljin, king krush and oondasta, so not exaclty a meta deck).
Long story short: if you know how to play and you know what you are playing, you will climb even with no bonus star.
Maybe don’t try to climb from bronze on the 30th of the month with no bonus stars, it’s pretty pointless now to try to get higher than ever.
