If you play on PC, always have the battle.net program open and ready to be used. If you run into Nellie, which I think all Quest Warriors use, you will miss your next turn. After Nellie is played, and the pirates chosen by your opponent, QUIT the game and quickly restart it. This will allow you to actually play your next turn.
Is this a new bug? I feel like Iāve seen my opponents play Nellie and have yet to run into this issue, but that was probably over the weekend. I havenāt played much this week.
I honestly donāt know. Iāve played Nellie a few times, but canāt recall if my opponent skipped their next turn. I am assuming it did and at the time I was probably like āWTF?ā At any rate, it is a bug now so remember this advice. With the popularity of Quest Warrior, you almost certainly will run into this at some point; and it will lead very possibly to you losing the match.
You can go into the battle.net settings, and have it so that it minimizes but is still open. This way you can simply click it, open it, and hit āPlayā again.
Does this mean Iām at least temporarily allowed to blame all my Pirate Warrior losses on Nellie regardless if they play it? That only seems fair to me.
No. Although, youāre entirely justified in hating the deck, and āwhiningā about it. Weāve dealt with this damn deck for how long now? And now, itās even more powerful. First itās Mr. Smite, now itās these new OP pirates and Nellie.
Iāve said this elsewhere but itās worth saying again. The players that claim to 'know how to play versus Quest Warrior while claiming players that lose to it ādonāt knowā how to play against Quest Warrior is often folly. These players are often relatively high legend players that donāt run into the deck. Itās easy to claim the deck is super beatable when you almost never see it in your pocket meta.
The truth is, the deck is OP, especially relative to the effort and thought required to play it. You can play entirely optimally, with any deck, and still lose. Itās freaking braindead. Itās tier one in legend, and tier two in the top 1k. It demonstrably needs to be nerfed. This kind of crap is not healthy for the game and namely its players.
isnt this a mobile only issue ? been playing on pc and all i noticed is a 1 second lag after nellie is played
i never diconnect
No, not at all. I play exclusively on PC and had this happen to me last night. Fortunately, I keep my battle.net open but minimized to my tray. I didnāt lose my turn, but I would have.
Sadly, i play on a patato of a laptop, by the time i get back, multiple turn will have passed. This is a non starter with me.
Iām sorry to hear that. Hereās to hoping you donāt run into this nonsense!
Iām wondering if thereās a specific connection with either a portrait or some plays leading up to Nellie, or simply a random chance of it happening with Nellie. Iāve had a few games now where Nellie has been present, but it all plays out normally. Either way, some solid advice!
AH yesā¦ thatās the new model, right?
The Apple Patato?
I donāt know what it is. I literally just played Nellie in my last match ā it did not affect my opponentās next turn. Nevertheless, I have had it happen to me. And honestly, due to bugs, itās just a good idea to leave battle.net open.
Actually i just want to say that even as someone who knows the deck still bad i not against that nerf anymore.
There should be a minimal of quality in this product as a game and questline pirate warrior is far bellow that bar.
They should have learned that the first time they introduced the deck during UIS.
I have had this happen to me as well. Didnāt realize it at 1st but it seemed like the opponents turn was too long and never saw a rope. Then i start seeing him highlighting cards like he is playing them but i see nothing. Thatās when i logged out and back in to find my board wiped and him about the win.
Are you saying the deck is bad?
I saying that the deck is far from peak hearthstone both in Power and design.
In power as always it goes down the more high on ladder you get despite of be a little better than before the nerf.
As design itās Just a deck so braindead that gives people who have no business with climbing the ladder a chance.
Because not so powerful is still better than junk and a powerful deck played badly is basically that.
Junk.
@minami, the deck is powerful at all ranks. The fact is this is an extremely consistent and powerful deck.
Part of these claims that the deck is bad are from people at ranks where they do not see Quest Warrior. The deck is not bad, and those claims are made so those making them can feel superior. In reality, this deck can defeat an opponent that plays entirely optimally. And as you say, it is braindead.
Braindead or not, this deck is objectively better than it should be until you get to top legend. And even at top legend, itās tier two.
Edit: I mean to say that this braindead deck requires no effort nor thought whatsoever. A deck like that should never be actually really good.
And did you know how exactly those ranks got to not see pirate warrior?
Youāre either playing very low or Very high for that to happen.
I sure it actually is slighty better just by the fact that nelie exist creating stuff like 1 mana smites.
Other than that a cool piece of information would be How many matches are being win by the opponent getting disconnects due to nelie.
I sure it also isnāt a small number.
I think itās inaccurate to pretend that the statistics Iām looking at right now are somehow invalid. In actuality, HSREPLAY shows this deck is power across all ranks. You can deny that if you like. The deck is in reality powerful and not necessarily so easy to defeat as many players pretend it is.
just let smite no longer āpirateā and this deck eat dust
btw combo: brann + queen azshara sometimes freeze game too
