HS has a bunch of 1 cost 1/3 creatures. Each has an extra ability. Armor vendor immediately grants armor, Aldor attendant reduces the cost of librams by 1, Northshire cleric draws a card each time you heal a creature… I would say, compared to those, shufling 2 soul shards into your deck seems inferior.
But But…
“Aldor attendant reduces the cost of librams by 1”
But what if you never draw a libram?
You guys are all over the place.
getting trashed at diamond 1 all the way back down to d5 over and over again don’t matter what deck I play they play no minion just board whipes all day then drop tickatus then I’m out of cards. Its the same thing over and over again. Healing is not the issue its the infinite board wipes. When they run out they just discover more
Board wipes aren’t an issue for me as a hunter. Again, warlocks aren’t really an “issue” for me when climbing. I only noticed their crazy amount of healing. Which, to me, goes against what a warlock is supposed to be. A little bit of healing I can see. Enough to go from almost dead to full health health in one round using 6 mana and maybe getting a “lucky” draw.
Okay so I guess, now that I’m thinking about it, my problem is really with warlocks ability to cast, recreate for zero cost, then keep creating shadow spells using what’s her face (legendary). Can’t remember her name for the life of me right now.
Not at all, at least one of those examples will apply to every game, but it’s easier to yell fake news when a lazy observation has been discredited.
It’s real easy to throw out red herrings rather than address the situation at hand when you don’t have the ability to do so.
Not true.
I’ll refer you to your initial misleading observation.
You are allowed to have an opinion.
Mine is, dropping a 1/3 that gives you a potential 2 cards that heal you when drawn for 2 each and don’t count against your draw/crystals REALLY DOESNT HAVE A DRAWBACK
Just because you say “yes it does” doesn’t really change my mind.
I saw your comparisons to other cards and it was weak at best.
I picked up the full Tick Lock deck, played for just over a week and dropped it again because the inconsistency of the heals, I swapped back to my no duplicate homebrew that has a better win rate vs Priests than a full Tick build with the added advantage of being competitive vs some aggro decks.
I suspect the reason fragments don’t count as a drawn card is because that would actually make the Warlock quest Supreme Archaeology viable.
Just lost to a warlock who did nothing but heal until they could play a cheese combo. Dude healing for 11 by turn 7 with 9 healing left to be drawn. Not counting his other healing spells left in hand and deck. Spent the rest of the game healing and destroying minions until he could cheese out a 12/12 then destroy 10 of my cards, then played Jaraxxus.
Without going absolutely balls to the wall aggro, and having the cards to do so I don’t see how warlock can be beaten. I play aggro only so obviously my view is biased. What am I supposed to do against these control warlocks?
PS - I think it’s funny people call hunter brain dead when this control warlock is one of the most brain dead decks I’ve ever seen.
To be fair, they really aren’t hurting themselves for big plays. They hero power and some decks run raise dead. But I do think warlock is too good, but I don’t think it’s the healing that’s the issue.
When you see a warlock drawing 4 soul shards in a row, remember this:
they had to play a 1 mana 1/3 and a 2 mana deal 3; it’s not free and the cards that generate soul shards aren’t stronger than other cards with the same cost.
libram of hope it’s a reliable way to heal; if its effect was “summon a 8/8 taunt ds; shuffle 4 soul shards in you deck” it would be a lot worse! even if the shoul shards where 6 (12 healing instead of 8) it would be much much worse.
Maybe not since paladin nowdays doesn’t lose health in the early game, but I think we can agree that “heal now” > “heal later”.
If soul shards were enough to heal, warlock wouldn’t run armor vendor and drain souls
Yeah remember when a warlock’s hero power actually used to be a risk somewhat? Now it doesn’t even matter that it costs two health. Warlock is stupid easy to play and there are no risks or penalties.
I’ve come up against a majority of warlocks playing that demon that gives a turn of life steal to a friendly minion. I suppose that’s supposed to help them counter aggro decks, like Hunter, Warrior, and Paladin. It does.
That on top of the flood of soul shards, the two lifesteal spells, Tamsin, Armor Vendor. The amount of healing is stupid.
That’s just getting them through the early game and denying aggro and mid range decks, until they can begin exponentially out-valuing them by turn 7.
Goes for Dh aswell. Stop making other classes heal better than the healer-class
So Tier 4 is too good now?
