Nice, someone who gets it.
I played the last zone on Shadowlands, in the meantime, I played the game called Deathloop. I realized, Deathloop is lot more enjoyable for me, uninstalled WOW, and never returned since.
Im actually currently playing.
Shadowlands broke the camels back and they learned a great, great deal of the design philosophy back then that drove many players away.
Dragonflight was actually an enjoyable expansion with a clear roadmap, activities and things to do. It was definitely a step in the right direction.
The War Within aims to do better with the systems introduced in DF while introducing some of its own unique additions. They are trying to get back to story telling with the World Soul Saga. Only time will tell if the writing and lore will be good. But overall the expansion is enjoyable.
I have been a WoW enjoyer for many years, and while yes it is a âjobâ in some cases, i can confidently say that they are making things much easier and respective of peoples time. Dragonflight especially has not felt like a chore unlike Shadowlands. And TWW is also shaping up to be that way too.
Of course its my opinion, so I still understand the reasonings of why people are not playing as outlined in the post.
it needs a mode for turning snakes into ferrets
early access cash grab lmao
It destroyed the sense of community of all the players launching together. And there something more sinister going on, some players report that some players started attacking the ones not paying the premium as âthe poorâ.
Eh. Its up to the player if they want to spend that kind of money or not.
Thats not how it felt on release day for me. Still seeing a large group of players on actual release was like any other WoW expansion.
Also if you are going to be upset over being called âpoorâ for not spending extra cash you need serious help. At this point no one cares who gets early access now, everyone is on the same playing field for the next two weeks until season 1. And honestly anything being said over the internet should be taken with a grain of salt.
Edit: also as a side note, as controversial as it was for them to do early access. This was probably the most smoothest release in a long long while.
Those who need serious help are those laughing at others calling them âpoorsâ. It has nothing to do with me personally; Iâm not subbed in that game; that ship sailed years ago.
How you felt is not the topic; you paid the premium; you saw the real launch (you were not banned from the real launch unless you paid more).
Its the internet. Like I said, you take what is being said on the internet as a grain of salt.
Technically it is. Arent we going off of experience after all? I have many friends who didnt pay the extra who stated the launch experience was like any other.
No one is forcing anyone to pay to play early. And in actuality you cant do much anyways besides the main quest and side quests. Along with normal dungeons. Everything else was extremely time gated until release.
Ah yes; the usual non-answer when a bad decision is made; âyouâre not forced to play at allâ. Yes weâre not forced to play at all. Thatâs why many arenât playing WoW anymore.
It is a legitimate response. Anyone HAD the option to pay for early access. Thats just a fact. If you dont play, thats fine. It is your deicision afterall, besides no one is forcing you.
Iâll prove in a small sentence itâs a non-answer. Letâs say it costs a $1000 to even play the game for a day tomorrow: âyou still have a choice!â. Yeah you have a choice but that doesnât make it any less of a terrible decision.
I might since Iâm done with Hearthstone for the foreseeable future.
Oh I would agree 100% if they had given full access to end game to those who played early. But the reality is that those who got to play early only had the bare bones of the expansion given to them. As stated everyone is on the same playing field.
Those who started on Monday are at the exact same level and gear score as those who started Thursday. Its a decision thats completely up to the player. And until they overstep and make it to where you can do raiding and other major end game contents that really pushed people ahead, I see it as inconsequential.
Itâs a big benefit, for those who know how to make gold efficiently, and gold can buy gear and other gameplay benefits.
And yet the very same players that get access on actual launch date, have access to the very same gold farming techniques. Again, everyone is pretty much close in terms of power level. Until raids and mythic dungeons release.
At this point this is getting no where. So Im going to agree and disagree here, and I hope you have a great Friday.
Wow has never recovered to even a fraction of its playerbase that existed in a time where their MMO thrived without any single microtransaction.
There is no argument. retail Wow players are just cucks
Youâre posting this on the Hearthstone forum dude. The irony is off the charts.
Iâm just here to bully retail andies whoâve eaten S#it every expansion since the wow token came out
Not sure the token is that consumer hostile, because it also helps to play without paying them.
Or at least it evens out the problem of contaminating the gameplay by (officially) buying gold.
