so a 3 minion deck and 1 of them will be Titan? does warlock really have the means to pull this off ?
Itâs possible, I donât know how good it will be in Standard, but in Wild it might be pretty good. Just run 3 minions and youâll have a nasty little package.
If anyone can get away with just running 3 minions, itâs gotta be warlock with all their removal
I think the key card to hit is Symphony of Sins and then draw your highest costâŚyou could play the Titan on 5 or 6.
With cards like this I find it hard to believe anyone considers this game an ESport anymore.
There is nothing sporting about the game.
Just incredibly overtuned cards that were clearly printed for pack sales.
Curse Warlock is absolutely loving this card. A solid late game way to finish off the opponents who can just get out of reach of the curse damage.
Good thing that deck get mauled by the top decks in the format AND Warlock.
Warlock has already amazing ways to mana cheat out expensive cards with Thad, so this card is going to be a crazy win condition addition.
Weâll see how slow the meta is.
Yes, but actually no. Dirty rat and other disruption will kill this card easy. I mean you can resurrect a frog or sheep if you want to. dunno if you been satisfied with that.
Overhyped card, will fall short.
Based on this forums track record, this statement is concrete evidence this card is going to make warlock a tier 0 class.
The problem with the never ending value mechanic of the portal
is that it will be too oppresive if it will be a tier 1 deck.
Never ending value is more acceptable for priest (through a players eyes) because he canât infinitely discover minions but mostly just removal. But this does.
Therefore, even if this card is that strong as everyone says it will. It will have to get nerfed to not ruin the players experience.
Although this might be true for some people, things like this are a big turnoff for a big portion of the community. Thereâs always outcry threads on here or Reddit about the power creep of the game and Iâve personally known people who have stopped playing.
That said, people still play YGO and if you think the power creep for HS is bad you should check that game out.
You donât pick âfight over meâ very often with visions of darkness I take it. You may not be discovering minions directly, but youâre still infinitely generating minions too.
I want to see the signature card for this first. If I donât like it more than this I will craft the golden version too.
This version looks better than any Sargeras image on the internet so I donât think the signature version will beat it.
Depending on the cards I usually try to get every version. I uber save up in between expansions
YGO is what his game has become.
I donât think you played modern yu-gi-oh. I did, this game is not even close to yu-gi-oh levels.
Yu-gi-oh games sometimes end in 1 turn without your opponent ever having his turn (he can still play during your turn though, because yu-gi-oh cards are that op) and most times by turn 3-4 by yu-gi-oh terminology (turn 2 by HS terminology). In yu-gi-oh turn timer increases by 1 after each player has taken his turn.
How so? I mean itâs not the first never ending portal with Imps mechanic and the other one were crap. I think Sargeras is a bit overrated, but let see how it turns out.
Yeah that is what iâm saying. The other were crap as you said.
So this one has to be crap as well. Otherwise it is too opressive for the meta.
YGO is unplayable garbage. Pretty soon this game will be as well.
HS is nothing like YGO. The only comparison I could see is power creep but in terms of everything else theyâre totally dissimilar, including tournament policy and the lack of playing matches in ladder.
That said, YGO right now is in a place where turn 1 boards are either so overwhelmingly powerful that your draw phase is often times your scoop phase OR drawing the outs to break your opponentâs board are so powerful on the opposite end that you might also just scoop from that as well if youâre the player getting your board broke. Floodgates are also in the discussion.
YGO is a game where the first two turns are so polarizing that at least half of every round played ends within 5 minutes.
Yu-gi-oh is pretty playable and you need more skill than in HS, which is RNG based game. But is more expensive than HS and new packs are way too fast for me. HS is more casual and easier to keep up with without investing too much time in it.
I think YGO is crap myself, but I know that opinions vary.
Hearthstone is quickly becoming the same way.
It started for me with Colossals.
Cards that were printed, in my opinion, purely to coerce pack sales.
Now Titans carry that line of thinking even farther.
If every expansion must be more powerful, then it seems inevitable that YGO style turn 1 wins are the end game result.
This used to be a game of tucks and gathers.
Those creators are gone, with ineptitude, indifference, and greed being all that remains with Team 5.
