New Warlock Rare: Touch of The Nathrezim

this is a great card imo. Very strong, and just what warlock needed.

Actually they don’t.

SOS says literally every card you draw.

It not cares about what drew it.

So unless you’re telling me that burning your deck gonna be good…

I thinking of the quest reward more as a game finisher.
You hold blood costed cards and cast everything on the turn together with the quest reward.

That or you use they as part of your quest requirements. It’s really not dificult to get that quest done because SOS is a 2/6.
Even some really good deck have problems to remove it even if played on curve.

Totally broken, nerf incoming week after release.

That’s a nice card, looking forward to incorporating it into a deck or 2 of mine. Also thank you for the mention of the podcast, i’ve been looking for more podcasts to listen to these days.

They really should give Spells like that in the Stormwind expansion “or yourself” (as in: “to a minion or yourself”).

But it’s a fine Spell regardless.

I don’t think this card is entirely dependent on Tamsin and Mo’arg (although it works much better with them). I agree that this isn’t the ideal topdeck late in the game, but every meta has an Aggro component that this card slots really well against. It provides a better burst heal than Drain Soul when triggered and more immediate healing than Soul Shear for 1 less mana. Also, it’s worth noting you can use this on a friendly minion if you desperately need the 4 health.

Warlock has a LOT of healing-and-removal now…

Yes, but the question isn’t just “is this good?” It’s “is this good enough to replace something else with?”

What are you removing to make room for TofN?

Soul Shear? You weakened your fragment package.

Drain Soul? Is 1 mana worththe possibility of 1 more healing instead of guaranteed healing and a larger chance of killing the minion? Keep in mind that killing a minion effectively heals you for every point of damage it would have caused. i. e. gaining 3 life and removing a 2-power minion is worth 5 life.

Siphon Soul? What do you do when your opponent goes tall?

Twisting Nether? I can see swapping out one of those in a lightning fast meta.

As it stands I can see this being something you’re happy to pull from wandmaker. I can’t see it making the main deck.

That said, the meta is sure to shake up with the new set and my assessment may very well change at that point. This could go from 2 stars to 4 in the right environment.

I’m thinking the easiest thing will be to just have SoS, nightbrood mother, hand of Guldan, free admission, the quest, and then all the, draw heal and removal you can run. Then just kill your opponent with your fatigue.

So this would go in a very minion light, very removal heavy deck, so maybe it doesn’t replace anything.

currently i don´t see this run by many decks.
2dmg is not enough often times to remove an early threat (e.g. the growing shaman elemental is 3health, sethekk is 3 health, parade master is 3health and so on,) and 4healing is not sth you often need on turn 1-3, so soul shear is the far better option to get the job done, it deals 3dmg, like you want early on and the 4healign are (potentially) delayed for when you need it later on.

Looks way better than Final Gasp.

Interesting for deck building.

A Small Spell Questlock would be cool.

Finally something good to sustain against these aggro that ends a game at 6 mana this game is so much unbalanced seriously some time you won’t even hit 10 mana the game will end before that LOL

I’m not sure if this will do well vs aggro. 2 damage isn’t that good at removing threats. If aggro is putting out things with 1 or 2 health, they’re likely putting down so many of them that they can over power your heal for 4.

1 mana 2 damage would be good if you’re also an aggro/tempo deck and that 2 damage helps you win the board (see: how hunters do it with their 1-2 damage spells)

final gasp :joy:
It just came out and it’s already outdated for me

if you don’t have final gasp in the deck, that’s another story

This card is absolutely amazing.

Low cost cards that are great anti-aggro tools and also aren’t dead in the water cards late game are always extremely good.

This is going to be auto-include in any non-aggro warlock deck.

The question is, will warlocks run fragment package, unreliable healing when they have reliable one?

At the time I made my thread, I didn’t know what the card was yet. It’s a good thing I didn’t put my card guess as the title. I was guessing it had something to do with Kazakus from the small preview image.

“2 damage has to kill a minion” is far from reliable.

really? against aggro?

We’ll see.
