Doesn’t the word “another” on Catrina mean that it won’t resurrect a Catrina?
“At the end of your turn, resurrect another friendly Undead minion”

Yes it does.

These buffs actually are pretty significant. They’re cycle cards that now don’t just die to a hero power.

I was wondering this as well and I want to test it. But what if you have 2? One dies, it’s a different Muerte, not the same…so what happens there? Does this mean they have a tracker that checks these things out?

Actually he’s right. Muerte can’t summon herself. It’s the same interaction with flesh behemoth. In case you didn’t know, flesh behemoth can never summon the second copy of itself from your deck. Even if it’s the ONLY undead left to pull. So my idea is dead in the water. Or maybe UNdead in the water. But either way… it won’t work.

Oof, I didn’t know Behemoth did that. Bummer!

I’d say each individual class got overall better from last year. Only Earthen Scales saw consistent play in any meaningful way. The neutral cards are arguably better as well…with the exception of Brann leaving. I know people like to claim that “doing crazy stuff is why people love HS”, but the flip side of that is crazy stuff happening to you (which Mr. Bronzebeard provided plenty of) can get pretty tiresome after a calendar year. We got to see Brann in Standard…now let us never speak of this again. Also…Hanar? I really hope taking away Paladin secrets is enough of a sideways nerf to affect his viability. I already lived through a Hanar meta. I don’t think we need a reminder of his power level already.

I’ve been thinking about what the best cards you can get from Firelands Portal are. Vexallus and Aegwynn are obvious ones.

Eight?

I remember the Graveyard twice, Draka, Gnoll, and Edwin immediately after he was buffed.

What else did I forget?

Not entirely sure what you mean by this, but I’m comparing lighting storm to fire sale usually, which even has tradable. and yet, barely played today, strange.
But perhaps the value is there, as sale does dmg to all.

Yeah thats what asymmetrical means. Only hits the opponent.

And hellfire affects your board and your face, so it’s actually quite logical that it costs 3 mana. The only bad aoe belongs to Priest being 5 mana and targeting both sides for 3 damage while giving your opponent a copy, which can be a downside with small upside to ruining enemys draw.

Objection! (20chars)

Zeddy has a video that he did which mentions the 8. I believe prep is another one, can’t remember the other 2 off the top of my head right now.

Huh, its a good cull from the last season, and I’m glad Mean Streets is getting a decent share of the replacements, but I was expecting a few different cards to make an appearance. Knuckles (Hunter Legendary) would have made a good replacement for the Huntmaster, and Brass Knuckles (Warrior Weapon) would work better thematically over Woodsman’s Axe for at least this first expansion, though it would have to have a mana or two knocked off to make it comparable to Imbued Axe from Nathria.

I am genuinely surprised Blingtron 3000 didn’t make the cut as a neutral legendary replacement. With the crafting weapons going away and being replaced by the instruments, I thought Bling would have made an excellent generator to random into some instruments, or for that matter serve as a secondary disrupter to force an enemy’s instrument off the board.

I am highly disappointed Heavy Metal! (Rastakhan’s Rumble) and to a lesser extent Stage Hand (Madness at DF) didn’t get rotated in for just this expansion, regardless of how overcost HM! is, particularly when combined with Heavy Plate. Just… set aside Dyn-O-Matic for just this once eh?

Yeah true, but they probably didn’t do it, because they gave the music type metal to DK and they thought it was weird to give it warrior, because he stands for rock. xD

8 Rogue CLASS nerfs this expansion.

Not 8 Miracle Rogue deck nerfs.

That’s including DR Rogue and Pillager Rogue.

Zeddy pointed out each nerf specific to Miracle Rogue. I don’t remember which video it was specifically unfortunately, but I’ll take your word for it.

If you count every Miracle Rogue version since 2013, there’s 9 nerfed Standard applicable to cards used in Miracle Rogue decks.

However, that’s nine cards used in Miracle Rogue decks, and not 9 cards “used in Miracle Rogue decks when nerfed”, or “Miracle Rogue deck nerfs” if you prefer.

And even to get to those 9 we’re having to throw the Gadgetzan Auctioneer nerf of 2014. That leaves 8 Rogue cards.

Octobot, Cold Blood, and Preparation were not nerfed while seeing play in Miracle Rogue.

Then we get to the other 5 Draka, Graveyard x2, Gnoll, and Edwin (which was a return to his original release version).
