Of course 2 mana draw 1 is the standard for drawing cards un standard xD
Iâve seen one mech rogue in weeks
That was true like⌠Nine years ago. Hearthstone has changed a lot since then.
If you have Acolyte + Bladestorm/Aftershocks in hand, or you did, you want it to draw 1, not 2. If you havenât had an Acolyte turn this game and youâre not sure that you will, you want it to draw two or more, not one. If you could guarantee that you drew Acolyte every game the deck wouldnât want any other draw 2+ at all.
For the most part Iâm just talking from personal experience of playing dozens of Odyn Warrior games at 1200-3000 Legend. For a while there d0nkey.top website had Roaring Applause stats as higher than Stoneskin Armorer, but I didnât take a screenshot or anything and that was before they introduced the Gift cards so I guess they did a data wipe and itâs not there anymore. I just checked.
But even when I checked, the sample size was small (hidden unless you selected options to see sparse data) and I never saw stats on Glacial Shard at all. I also never saw stats on Rock Master Voone, which I also ran in my list for third Rockstar and the occasional bonus Totem, Shard or Finley. (BTW Voone copies costs so a zero cost Rockstar for FTD becomes two zero cost Rockstars, same deal for Totems, etc)
Warrior and DK stay untouchedâŚso I donât think this will help us enough in the current chaosâŚ
As someone who plays both decks that will only be the case while Steamcleaner is around. The moment that disappears, plague DK will be a monstrosity for control decks.
McScrotie is taking you to school and educating you with knowledge.
lol warrior untouched. Incompetence.
Eh, any slow deck that can make like, two waves of large minions beats plague.
Dragon druid destroys it, for example.
Slow decks with renathal (although this is rotating) and a powerful win condition usually beat it too.
And rainbow DK beats it.
Itâs pretty easy to keep plague down.
Buff Predictions:
DH - Hopefully giving some love to Big DH by buffing board clear and reducing the mana cost of some cards that enable getting big demons out early.
Mage - Reverting nerf to Inquisitive Creation, possibly buffing their excavate cards.
Priest - Probably another buff to Elise, a mana cost reduction here or there.
Shaman - All I can see them doing is giving a buff to Digging Straight down.
How could they not touch Warrior at all, this game currently is already just Warlocks and Warriorsnow matchups that where able to beat Warrior are getting nerfed and Warrior will be played even more.
Because at the top end of the game, druid displaced warrior.
So druids are getting another nerf so that warriors can go back to the top
This is the same mistake they made when they nerfed everything except Sludge Warlock and Sludge Warlock shot to the top.
When Iâm playing Control Warrior, the only things that bother me are Control Priest, which doesnât exist to be any threat to win rate, Brann Warrior, Sludge Warlock and non-aggro Druid.
So if they nerf Sludge Warlock and Druid, and donât give Control Priest some amazing buffs, itâs a Control Warrior meta with people playing Brann Warrior to stop Control Warrior. And then Plague DK to attempt to disrupt the Brann Warrior.
So if these buffs arenât significant, Control Warrior is just going to become the new Sludge Warlock. Itâs going to get even greedier as well just like Sludge Warlock did because its counters (Brann Warrior and Control Priest) arenât really going to be able to compete to make a difference.
My guess is the meta is Control Warrior with an even greedier version. Maybe it just starts running ETC with Brann or a Lorthemar package. Who knows.
Yes and no. The deck just swapped a few cards around like the class in question (druid) always do and is now beetledruid still doing dirty uninteractive things with too many eonars and too much mana.
I donât think itâs comparable tbh. Sludge warlock had basically no bad matchup and it was just a deck that very aggressively bursts you down to 0HP, it was undoubtedly going to become a meta tyrant. Control warrior is a lot more approachable, and donât forget they are doing a considerable amount of buffs.
If they buff Lightshow mage into playability, for instance (something I am 99% certain is where theyâll go with mage), thatâs an extra hard counter to warrior. Big demons DH may also be a candidate if they make the combo faster, control priest is likely gonna be buffed⌠There are just many more more types of decks that can deal with warrior than sludge warlock, either by burst/otk damage or with disruption. I think theyâre doing good this time. Weâll see on Thursday for sure tho.
I agree IF the buffs are significant. I just donât think they will be. A small buff to lightshow wonât do anything. A mana reduction to Elise does nothing. I hope Iâm wrong. Iâd love Control Priest to be somewhat playable to the level that Control Warrior is playable, but without massive buffs itâs just not happening. Mage has a better shot.
Itâs not even that to be honest, the cards themselves, odyn and brann are terrible win conditions and terrible design, that more than anything is why I was hoping for a nerf. Like I have said I hate everything about those two cards, design wise, power wise, lose to wise. They just suck in general and I wish they would have never made them. THAT IS JUST MY OPINION. I am sure a lot of ppl love the two cards but I am also willing to bet more hate them than love them than are neutral to em.
Edit: and yes I know itâs a rant and I sound petty and am offering nothing constructive, but I am just frustrated with warrior at the moment
I think they are extremely lazy and uninteresting design yeah. Well only Odyn really, I like Brann. But I donât particularly mind them tbh. I would rather delete plagues from the game and make sure that whoever had that idea only designs common neutrals for at least 1 or 2 years to reflect on their decisions ![]()
Yay, plague suck to, especially helya played on curve agree with ya there!
