one is missing 10~11 legendary card per expansions.
craft 6
now missing 5 per expansion.
how many decks are played a lot at top 100 legend.
out of all decks with 50% win rate or higher in top 1000.
it’s probably close to percentage of missing legendary cards
if those most dominant decks happens to include legendary card one is missing
one does not have most optimal deck
so collection size does impact performance.
and for new and returning free to play players
because they are missing a lot of cards from previous expansions
they are busy crafting cards from previous expansions.
and unless one saved up one full expansion cycle worth of gold to mass open packs at the start of new expansions
one is going to be missing a lot of new expansion cards
potentially having to waste dust on crafting common, rare, epic cards
no wonder most players play only 1~2 decks or classes
I think you’re off topic here.
First, OP and other single class players mean they just want to play an only class because they prefer it, not because they are unable to play multiple classes.
Second, I’m back after a 6 year hiatus. It’s hard to climb with a loaner deck, not only because of the lack of cards but also because I don’t know all the cards/synergies that are available in Standard. But once I’ve had enough time to learn and adapt to the meta, playing competitively isn’t too much difficult anymore. I’m an average player playing no more than 3hours a day, I’ve definitely hit Legend every month since I’ve been back. Last month, I finished #109 playing 4 decks (I was probably lucky), with 15 Legendaries missing from the latest expansion. And this month, I’m playing in the L500-L1500 range with 11 Legendaries (and some epics) still missing from the latest expansion.
Yeah I’m just an average LEGEND rank player. I do it in a below average time because Im so average. I’m just your average guy doing things that average people do like hit legend with decks that are garbage and require above average optimal play to have any kind of chance.
Man it feels good to be average eh fellow average folks?
I just put my average 400$ jeans on two legs at a time like you average people.
What could be wrong with an average player to put average effort to reach legend everymonth?
There always be 12k-19k legend player each month, just count only NA server, and NA is considered less competitive than EU and China, as voyager already said reaching legend is not so competitive nowaday.
The different is only if you try to play competitively a bit higher (with luck) or you try to do smth else, homebrew deck or achievement, or just stop that month to switch to other mode / other games waiting for the next climbing.
As long as we 're all not pro MT player, i think finishing rank would not talk too much.
I wonder if you question yourself before being rude.
What is so funny?
I just saw your example is very similar to me. And you probably is much better player than me.
Finishing top 1k leg with a loaner deck, i can’t.
Finishing top 78 with a single deck, i can’t.
I also agree that the larger the collection, the higher chance to reach high legend rank.
But it doesn’t mean neither you can not play at relative competitive level without a full collection, nor I can’t play multiple decks / multiple classes without a full collection.
Report says that average HS player has 3 sessions a day, with 38 mins length each session. So average play time is 114 mins a day. I play about 2.5h a day on average, so yes im higher than average player.
However, since HS is mainly mobile game nowaday, a lot of accounts is playing less than 114 mins a day, so its MAU and DAU is very far from average player. They include a lot of clone, churn or casual accounts.
Some people like to play a bunch of trash cards at low ranks of the wild mode against opponents with moves like Preparation + Coin + Concede. They don’t need too many cards anyway because it will not change anything what bad cards are in their decks. And in most cases it is probably a poor level of their opponents what they really like.
because I didn’t brag and pretend to be not be bragging?
the tone is different
I mention/set the standard like that so, no person would make stupid comment like: but you could earn more free packs by doing x, y, z.
you have to be pretty dedicated to do all those things and skillful and get only that much
so imagine how most/average players collection size are going to be
it’s going to be even worse
a lot of complaints you see on the forum makes sense.
You have to know where is the button “dust cards” and know when is the rotation. That’s enough to have resources. I guess most people know it and just dust cards.
I dusted all of my cards in the past after rotation.
it was pain in the as-s to dust every card manually one by one
I don’t want to have to do that again
wild wasn’t even in my consideration
because I thought wild is complete mess unplayable unbalanced.
I now enjoy playing wild and want to keep many card as possible.
You will be able to play 99% of existing cards only if you lose 100+ times and fall to the depths of the dumpster. Everywhere higher you will be killed by 1% of existing cards before you can play anything of your cards that belong to 99%.
There are not so many cards needed for wild meta decks.
Imagine you have hundreds of postage stamps. You can sell all of them now and get 1000$ or you can wait and maybe 1-2% of them will cost… for example, 50$. Not too much. It may happen after a long time. And you need money right now to do something important.
I don’t find having meta deck that important. because I don’t play for competitiveness
I am able to easily reach legend with mediocre deck for max seasonal reward.
so, I am fine with what I got.
and by the way Zeddy, and sinferno(US server wild top player) tells people to dust only when they get full refund
